1 starI was very happy with **** who helped me with customer service in the beginning. But when I called back I was told **** was no longer there and with multiple attempts ***** would not return my calls. So I had to call another company, thats when I was informed that my new ducts were not installed properly. The ducts were just laid in my attic and not properly sealed they are only zip tied and not up to code. I am now contacting the Better Business Bureau and possibly legal action to get my money back to have another company **** the job properly. Extremely disappointed. I wasted thousands hiring Freedom AC and Heating. **** was the best thing about this company.

Hi ******,Thank you for sharing your experience, and I want to sincerely apologize for the frustration and disappointment you've felt. We never want any of our customers to feel unheard or dissatisfied with our ********** sorry to hear that your attempts to reach us were unsuccessful. We recently changed locations and experienced a period of phone system downtime, which may have contributed to the missed communications. Unfortunately, this is the first time were learning of any issues related to your project. We would appreciate the opportunity to make things right. 1 starFreedom *************************** left my family and me frustrated and concerned for our ********* mid-December 2024, we contracted Freedom *************************** to install a new HVAC system in our home. After overselling the heat pump system over our old traditional-style unit, the owner, *****, began the installation on January 17 but abruptly abandoned the project without notice, leaving us without heating for over four days during the coldest part of winter. Our numerous calls and messages went unanswered, leaving us in a state of uncertainty and discomfort. When work finally resumed almost a week later, there was never any explanation or apology from the owner, *****, for walking off the job, leaving us in the cold without a working system, and several critical issues remain unresolved. Despite multiple attempts to communicate these concerns, Freedom *************************** has been unresponsive, and the job remains incomplete. The owner will not answer our calls. This experience has been both stressful and disappointing, and I cannot, in good conscience, recommend their services to others.

Response to Customer ******************* Bond Claim No. NJU00776924 May 25, 2025 To: ************** Surety Claims Division Cc: Mr. *** *********** Bond No. 04-CF640915 | Claim No. NJU00776924 This correspondence constitutes the formal and unequivocal rebuttal by Freedom *************************** LLC (CSLB License #******** to the claim filed by Mr. *** *********** regarding HVAC work completed at ************************************************************* The accusations submitted to the **** and ***************************** are not only factually and legally unsubstantiated, but represent a gross mischaracterization of a professionally completed, fully inspected, and code-compliant project. These claims lack merit, misrepresent material facts, and appear calculated to damage the reputation of a licensed, community-trusted contractor in the absence of any legitimate contractual or statutory breach.1. Technical Rebuttal to Alleged Noise Complaint Bosch IDS ****** Condenser As the designated Bosch Home Comfort Pro for the ******, ********** area and a licensed contractor (CSLB #*******) with extensive experience in residential ************* I provide the following formal and expert response to the allegation of excessive noise regarding the Bosch IDS BOVB18 4-ton condenser (Model BOVB-60HDN1-M18M), installed at *******************Manufacturer Ratings and *************** The installed condenser has a maximum sound power level rating of 79 dB(A) under full compressor load, per the Bosch Product Specification Sheet dated April 2023. This value reflects total radiated acoustic energy measured in controlled, lab-grade test chambersnot sound pressure as perceived at typical residential distances. Boschs BOVB18 series is engineered to fall within normal residential ambient limits, though it is not advertised as Boschs quietest model.Importantly, Mr. *********** declined the optional upgrade to the BOVB20 Series (20 SEER) system, which is marketed specifically for ultra-quiet performance. Instead, he opted for the more economical 18 SEER BOVB18, fully informed that it trades slightly higher acoustic output for cost efficiency. This was a customer-driven choice, documented at the proposal stage.Field Measurement Protocol and Results On May 14, 2025, our field technician conducted SPL (sound pressure level) measurements using a smartphone-based meter. While this is not a laboratory-grade ANSI-certified instrument, the methodology conformed to ANSI/ASA S12.9 Part 3 principles:?The microphone was positioned at 1.5 meters (5 feet) from the condenser unit in a free-field locationthat is, not within the condensers vertical airstream or near reflecting surfaces.?The measurement was taken at chest height, perpendicular to the condenser coil face, to avoid airflow turbulence that could skew the readings.?Ambient noise conditions were stable, with no interfering sounds present. The measured sound pressure level ranged between 60 and 65 dB(A)a result that closely matches Boschs published acoustic envelope and meets standard residential expectations for heat pump systems of this size class.Independent Third-Party Verification This result was independently validated by:?A certified HERS rater, who described the system as exceptionally quiet during post-installation verification, and ?A City of Corona building inspector, who also noted no excessive operational noise and approved the installation with no comments or violations related to acoustics. What ANSI/ASA S12.9 Standards Are and Why They Matter The ************************************* (****) and the ***************************** (***) set the national authority for environmental sound measurement. ANSI/ASA S12.9-2013, Part 3, governs how sound pressure levels are measured and reported in real-world environments.According to this standard:?Sound must be measured using a Type 1 or Type 2 calibrated meter.?Measurements must be taken in a free-field environment, no closer than 1.5 meters from the source, and outside the airflow path.?Measurements must be A-weighted and time-averaged, not based on momentary spikes.?Smartphone apps are not admissible in formal acoustic evaluations unless independently calibrated and used according to *********** contrast, Mr. ************ claimed 89 dB(A) appears to have been measured within the high-velocity vertical discharge column above the condenser fanan invalid and fundamentally misleading test environment. This approach violates ANSI protocols and holds no legal, engineering, or regulatory weight. Conclusion The Bosch IDS ****** condenser in question:?Operates within ****** published specifications;?Was installed in accordance with manufacturer and code requirements;?Was independently confirmed as quiet by both a HERS rater and a City inspector;?And was selected by the homeowner, who was fully informed that a quieter (20 SEER) model was available but declined.Any contrary claim is based on improper testing methodology, uninformed acoustic interpretation, and is technically meritless.2. Rebuttal to Condensate Drainage Allegations The allegation concerning exterior condensate discharge is factually inaccurate. The Bosch IDS ****** condenser performs exactly according to its manufacturer-defined design specifications and fully within all applicable mechanical and environmental code frameworks.2.1 Normal Condensate Discharge is Inherent to ************* According to the Bosch IDS ****** Product Specification Sheet (April 2023), the condenser is rated to operate in heating mode at ambient temperatures as low as 5F, maintaining heat output via periodic defrost cycles. These cycles naturally cause frost to accumulate and subsequently melt from the outdoor coil, resulting in surface-level condensate runoff. This is not a system error, manufacturing flaw, or installation defectit is a direct and expected result of the heat pumps energy-efficient function under real-world climate conditions. There is no language in the Bosch documentation requiring subsurface drainage or any special runoff mitigation as part of a normal installation. The absence of manufacturer warnings or performance advisories regarding surface moisture conclusively affirms that such water discharge is an anticipated feature of compliant system operation.2.2 Code Compliance and Final Inspection Confirmation The work at ****************** was completed under City of Corona Mechanical Permit No. B24-04612 and passed final inspection on April 17, 2025, with no citation, correction request, or notation regarding drainage or water nuisance. As such, the project is fully compliant with:?California Residential Mechanical Code (CRC M1501.1), which governs condensate management;?Title 24, Part 6 and Part 11 (CALGreen), which address general site water impacts;?And all applicable local water runoff or nuisance abatement ************* drainage trenching or water redirection structures are required under the applicable codes or referenced in the project permit record. No stop-work orders, inspection holds, or field corrections were issued during or after project completion.2.3 Voluntary Accommodation Declined As a good-faith gestureand without any admission of liabilityFreedom *************************** LLC offered to install a gravel-lined and framed drainage containment structure for a nominal charge of $800, intended solely to address subjective aesthetic concerns expressed by the homeowner. This offer was explicitly declined by Mr. ************ The rejection of a voluntary and reasonable solution further supports the position that no defect or code breach exists.2.4 Legal and Regulatory Standing The presence of external moisture consistent with normal defrost cycle behavior does not constitute a defect under:?California Building Standards Code (Title 24),?Business and Professions Code 7164 (concerning contractor performance),?Or CSLB enforcement criteria relating to standard HVAC installations.Furthermore, the complaint is contrary to established engineering expectations and lacks any substantiating documentation or third-party expert opinion. Conclusion: Procedural and Substantive Rejection of the Claim ?The condensate observed is normal, documented by Bosch, and within code;?The installation passed final city inspection with no correction notice issued;?No evidence has been provided demonstrating any system defect, nuisance condition, or violation;?An optional correction was offered in writing and declined.Accordingly, the allegation regarding condensate drainage is without legal or factual merit and must be dismissed in its entirety. Freedom *************************** LLC asserts its continued compliance with **** requirements, California law, and manufacturer specifications and reserves all rights under:?California Civil Code 1717 (prevailing party legal cost recovery),?Business and Professions Code 7159 (scope definition and modification),?And all applicable contractor liability defenses in equity or statute.3. Contract Fulfillment, Code Compliance, and Affirmative Defense to Delay Allegations Freedom *************************** LLC (CSLB License #******** lawfully performed and substantially completed all obligations under the signed agreement dated December 22, 2024, for the permitted installation of a Bosch IDS ****** inverter heat pump system at *************************************************************************** All work was executed in full compliance with:?The California Building Standards Code (Title 24, Part 6 Energy Efficiency and Part 11 CALGreen),?California ********************** Code 7159, 7164, 7091,?And City of Corona Building Department mechanical permitting and inspection protocols. The customers claims of abandonment, non-completion, and compensable harm are factually incorrect, procedurally defective, and legally unsupported by inspection records or contractual evidence.3.1 Permit Issuance, Code Compliance, and Final Approval The project was completed under Permit No. B24-04612, with Freedom *************************** LLC listed as the contractor of record. This permit was issued by the City of ***************************************** The installation underwent a complete municipal inspection and received formal approval on April 17, 2025, with no correction notices, violations, or post-inspection concerns. The final inspection card was duly signed by a city official, and no further documentation was requested by the enforcement agency.Pursuant to CRC Title 24 M1501.1 and all related code sections regulating condensate discharge, venting, insulation, and refrigerant system compliance, there were no findings of deviation. This approval stands as presumptive proof of compliance with all state and local building regulations. Therefore, any claim that the work remained incomplete, uninspected, or failed to meet minimum standards is directly contradicted by the municipal sign-off and adherence to all legal inspection protocols.3.2 Limited Delay Due to Force Majeure and Homeowner Restriction The only delay between installation and system startup resulted from a documented personal emergency. On January 19, 2025, the licensed lead electrician assigned to the project experienced the sudden passing of his father. As this occurred on the morning of the final connection and startup, Freedom AC was compelled to temporarily suspend work through January 21, 2025, acting in good faith.During this period, we provided temporary space heaters to the property at no cost as a gesture of customer service to mitigate any inconvenience.Afterward, Mr. *********** personally prohibited ladder access to the rear service wall of the property due to a private boundary dispute with a neighbor. This restriction delayed re-entry to the attic and the completion of return vent finishing by an additional 48 hours. These delays were:?Short-term;?Reasonable under B&P 7164(a) (excusable delays); and ?Not the result of negligence or abandonment.3.3 Complaint Timeline Contradicts Claim of Breach The first documented written complaint from Mr. *********** was submitted on February 14, 2025nearly a month after the system became operational. In that message, the customer referenced:?Return grille covers (a non-safety, cosmetic item not within the contracted scope of work); and ?Compressor noise (addressed in Section 1 with objective noise verification). And a general request for completion status. There was no reference to fraud, abandonment, non-inspection, or any defect that would invoke CSLB disciplinary jurisdiction under B&P 7091. The system had already passed the startup phase and was functioning within specification.Only in his February 18 letterafter site visits were completeddid Mr. *********** reframe his concerns as a broader systemic failure. However, this escalation does not correspond to any real-time notice, formal defect report, or contractor breach.Furthermore, in this letter, Mr. *********** expressly acknowledges that:?Work was resumed and continued on January 20 and January 23,?His last on-site interaction was on February 1,?And that his dissatisfaction centers on perceived operational characteristics, not violations of contract scope or code.3.4 Legal Conclusion: No Breach, No Liability Under applicable California law and contractor liability standards, there is no basis for refund, bond enforcement, or compensatory claim. Specifically:?The project was performed in full conformance with the California Building Standards Code and was approved by the City of Corona.?There was no abandonment, as evidenced by on-site visits through February 1 and continuous project progression.?Delays were caused by force majeure (personal tragedy) and homeowner obstruction, not negligence or default.?Any defects alleged were either minor punch list items or non-actionable operational misunderstandings (e.g., normal condensation discharge and ANSI-compliant noise levels).?The homeowners escalation to CSLB and the surety was not based on any contractual violation, legal breach, or code noncompliance.Accordingly, there is nothing further to correct under the contract, code, or CSLB regulation. Any remaining complaints are subjective in nature, factually unsupported, and procedurally waived.4. Online Defamation and Malicious Claims Under California Law Freedom *************************** LLC is a fully licensed and CSLB-compliant HVAC contractor (CSLB License #********, operating in good standing with a clean regulatory, inspection, and bonding history. As an officially designated Bosch Home Comfort Pro, Freedom AC is the Inland Empires direct regional contact for Bosch heat pump system expertise, field support, and product performance validation. Guy *********** has made multiple false, disparaging, and publicly broadcast statements on consumer platforms including ****, ****** Reviews, and in correspondence to surety and regulatory agencies. These statements include unsubstantiated accusations of:?Contractor abandonment,?Installation fraud,?Code violations,?And defective equipment operation. These claims are demonstrably false and legally actionable. The City of ************************** formally approved the completed HVAC installation on April 17, 2025, under Permit No. B24-04612, with no corrections or violations noted. Additionally, the installed Bosch IDS ****** condenser has been independently tested and recorded to operate at 61.261.3 dB(A) at a compliant distance of 1.5 meters, well within Boschs published 79 dB(A) maximum and in alignment with ANSI/ASA S12.9 Part 3 testing protocols. The HVAC system is functioning within design tolerances, and no defect exists per manufacturer specification or California mechanical code.Under California Civil Code 45, libel occurs when false, unprivileged written statements cause reputational harm. Where such statements impugn a licensed trade professionals integrity or competence, they are considered defamation per seentitling the victim to presumed damages without the need to prove financial *******. ************ accusations constitute:?A false imputation of fraud and incompetence in a regulated profession,?Dissemination of claims known to be untrue,?And reputational damage within our service market.Furthermore, these statements have been used in connection with a surety bond claim, which raises potential exposure for:?Tortious interference with business and bonding relationships,?Violations of California ********************** Code ***** & *****, which prohibit unfair, unlawful, or fraudulent trade ************* Remedies Reserved If defamatory conduct continues or is not retracted, Freedom *************************** LLC reserves the right to pursue all available legal remedies, including.Civil Action for Libel and Defamation Seeking monetary damages, injunctive relief, and a formal retraction.Unfair Business Practices Action (B&P *****)Based on knowingly false and harmful misrepresentations made in the course of a consumer ***************** Regulatory Complaint Filed with the ********************************** if false statements are used to manipulate, delay, or interfere with surety bond claims and underwriting.CSLB Enforcement Referral Under B&P Code 7164, for customer misconduct or obstruction of work by willful bad-faith interference.Freedom *************************** LLC takes its license, professional obligations, and community standing seriously. We reject any misrepresentation of our work, our compliance record, or our contractual performance. If this pattern of defamatory escalation persists, we are fully prepared to defend our name through formal channels and pursue all civil remedies as provided under California law.5. Final Position and Request for Termination of Proceedings Freedom *************************** LLC respectfully demands that this matter be formally closed and the bond claim fully denied on the basis of substantial evidentiary refutation, inspection-approved completion, and compliance with all contractual and statutory obligations.Submitted documentation includes, but is not limited to:?The fully executed and scope-defined contract;?Manufacturer-aligned decibel readings taken at ****/***-compliant positions;?The City of Coronas final building inspection approval dated April 17, 2025;?Installation photos verifying workmanship and code compliance. These collectively establish that the project was completed in a workmanlike manner, without deviation from contract terms, and in full compliance with California Building Standards Code (Title 24) and CSLB regulatory expectations.Any further continuation of this complaint, in light of the facts presented, would be procedurally abusive and legally unjustified. We therefore formally request that the surety company:?Deny the pending claim in full;?Close the investigation record;?And issue confirmation of resolution for our bonding file.We assert unequivocally that no further time, resources, or reputational damage should be incurred by our company due to a complaint that lacks merit, has shifted in scope, and contradicts municipal findings. We demand that this matter be brought to a definitive and immediate close, before further time, resources, or reputations are wrongfully damaged by an unsubstantiated and procedurally defective claim.Sincerely,***** ******** Owner & Licensed Contractor Freedom *************************** LLC ****************************Review fromCHRIS H

1 starI made the mistake of giving this company a large deposit for a new Heat Pump HVAC system in November. After being assured by ***** ******** "You will have your Bosch before you know it", on January 7th, I've been completely ghosted. I've phoned and texted numerous phone contacts, and sent multiple emails to various addresses requesting he contact me to schedule. Crickets. I'm upset because he seemed trustworthy, but now I'll have to try and reclaim my money for no work done. I'm hoping maybe he sees this review and offers SOME attempt to make it right.
