I rented a property from this company and ended my lease early on 30 June. On 5 August I emailed the broker, ****** ******** and asked where my deposit was. She told me that it had been mailed the week prior. I asked her to confirm the date and address to which it was sent. She told me that it was mailed on 11 July (3 weeks prior) to the address that I moved out of. She said that without a forwarding address, my check would be sent to the last known. I then made the correction and gave her my mailing address and she said that she would get it sent out the following week. I checked my mailbox again on the weekend of the 12th and still no deposit. I asked her again where my deposit was. She told me that she was scheduled to get it out the next week. The weekend of the 20th, I checked again and no deposit. I emailed her in the morning and her response to me was, that I did not provide a forwarding address so she imagined that's why I have no deposit check. I reminded her that I provided a forwarding address to her twice before. She told me that I needed to read my lease and be patient because it was mailed out that week. I cannot believe that she is licensed broker and is knowingly in violation of the landlord-tenant act. My deposit is due back to me within 14 days with an itemized statement. I cannot imagine how anyone could continue lying about a simple deposit unless the truth is, she doesn't have it. She has had ample time to cut a new check and get it to the correct address. That is money that is rightfully owed to me. Completely unprofessional.
