      We live in an area with no cell service and rely on internet service for our network extender. We lost internet at approx. 5:30pm on 12/29/2022. I drove by where the control box was located and saw a tech working, so I assumed it was an area outage of some sort and would be resolved soon. Nope. Customer support gave me the date of 1/5/2023 for our tech appt. I called every day (after driving to a location with cell service) stressing that we do not have cell service and have no way to communicate without internet service. They did not care. Highly frustrating. Fast forward to our appt today. The tech on our ticket called me after I noticed I all of a sudden had cell service and Wi-Fi on my phone. He informed me that “another technician accidentally unplugged” our wire in the control box and “left it unplugged.” Highly unacceptable of an employee and a company that couldn’t simply get a tech to check the box long before my appt.

      This is the only review I have ever felt the need to write. Their customer service is the worst I have ever had to deal with. We have made now 4 phone calls each averaging 2 hrs a piece. They didn’t show up on the first service date, they had the wrong address in for the second attempt on the next day and now I’m waiting for the third attempt on the phone and they can’t find my scheduled appointment in the system. Terrible terrible company.

      All the customer service are great, except Sindlay from financial services. She was very rude and tried to argue that my bank is the one who charged our account and not Windstream, she was absolutely wrong and very argumentative.

      The Kinetic Windstream in Espanola NM is grossly negligent and incompetent. I have tried to get internet connected for two months, but their local technicians fail to show up or communicate with their customers.

      We pay almost 150.00 a month for internet service with Windstream. We only have 1 bar of service instead of 5. Say we don’t live close enough to a junction box. It is 3 miles. We pay what the others pay or less who live closer to a junction box & have 5G service.
      This is discrimination against us because we pay the same. Why can’t they run their service for all?

      I wish there was an options to just remove Stars or go negative stars. Windstream Communications services is one of the worst things I have ever experienced. I have rarely had a service I am paying for treat me as though I should be grateful when they fail to serve my needs. Phones regularly didn't work, Regularly couldn't call some other providers number. Its a great thing when your customers call in and finely get through only to say "are you still business your phones didn't work!" Windstream has created great barriers to keep us pesky customers from getting to someone to solve are problems. They demand 45 notice to shut down the account only to not shut down the account, and keep billing you, They purposely don't send the return boxes so you are stuck with equipment so they can charge you for rental. So in closing if you disregard this statement or your currently with Windstream and need or want customer support don't pay your bill their collections is super responsive and Ironically more willing to help get you to customer support! BAD BAD BAD

      I signed up 3 months ago because the salesman told me that they are offering 3 months free. Just got hit with a 200.00 + bill. Talked to rep and said I was supposed to sign up for auto pay and online bill view then I would receive a 200 $ gift card, but of course I was never told that. Also told me my bill would be lower than spectrum...nope...12$ more. All they offered was 45$ off my bill without telling me what my bill is ?!?!. Salesman also said cancel after 3 months no worries. So many lies!!
