    On April 25, 2025, contact was made with ****** ****** requesting a grave marker be designed for my deceased son. ****** later sent a copy of the design to me via email which was approved. He explained that the marker would be ordered and it should be placed at the gravesite within six weeks of it being ordered. Explained that the services would be the first weekend in May. Then on April 26, 2025, a written agreement was entered into and payment was taken by ****** ******. Benton Monument works was to complete a memorial grave marker and deliver said marker to ****** ******** near *******. Benton Monument was paid $686.00 via credit card on April 26, 2025. ****** Benton provided materials that were to be placed at the gravesite in order to assist with where the marker should be placed. Materials provided by Benton Monument were placed at the gravesite location. Family members checked the gravesite in June, July, August and again on October 3, 2025 and no graveside marker had been placed at the gravesite. On August 21, an email was sent to ****** Benton requesting that the marker be placed at the gravesite. A call was placed to the company in early September inquiring about when the marker would be placed. No firm date was given and the call was terminated abruptly by the company. On October 3, my sister called to let me know that the marker still had not been placed at the gravesite. Contact was made with an employee of the company, requesting a call back from the owners. Today no call back has been received.

    The monument in question has already been set. I’ve received no email from the customer as stated. I received a call on 7/7 that was returned and a call on 10/3 that was returned with no answer. Other then the above communication of which I’ll attach proof of, no other communication has been had with customer. I have had this business 11 years now and have never “abruptly hung up” on any customer, even when they have been irate or overly emotional, so I do not appreciate the slander of rude service and no communication. I will attach proof of all stated above, please remove this disingenuous report filed on my business, thank you.

    I am rejecting this response because: the information in the response is not accurate.  I have not received any calls from this business and I have never abruptly hung up on this business.  This company has been in business more than 11 years.  This is the same company that provided the headstone for my mother almost 30 years ago.  And this was the reason for using this same company for a marker for my son's grave.  This complaint would not have been filed had the business honored the contract and provide the product as agreed.
