On 8/5 @ 9am ******** **** ****** sent this Co to replace interior and exterior parts to our cooling systems. Svc guy 1 arrived at 9a, svc guy *2 at 10:30a. *1 said the work = (2) hrs inside, (2) hrs outside. *1 came w/no mask. We gave him one, he wouldn’t put it on. *2 guy came bringing *1 a repl part for the indoor work. *2 put on a mask – at first. *2 said he was staying to help *1 guy. *1 went to *2”s truck to unload, we noticed our mask on camera lying on our driveway. *1’ never masked in or outside of our home for the duration of the 6+ hr svc call. To protect ourselves (and their worker) we installed a temp curtain + rod barrier + a portable hepa air filter to enable safety in our home office. 12:30 pm the interior work wasn’t done. We called Interstate to ask them to contact + direct their worker to don a mask Interstate said their mask policy was: "IF A CUSTOMER REQUESTS MASKING, THE SERVICE PERSONS WILL COMPLY IMMEDIATELY.” They said they’d notify their worker. 2:20pm, (after a one-hour lunch) interior still not finished. 3:30p both workers were working inside unmasked. WE called ******** **** ****** to req a recall of Interstate for safety reasons. Our complaint was documented. Our file now says: *All service calls entering home must mask”. 4Pm outside work starts, is done at 5:30p. Both guys left before doing a functional test on the system. All new parts were connected but not to our thermostat, so system inoperable. We have been without A/C for the past 72 hours and counting. This is unacceptable. We never, ever, want to use Interstate again. We want a written apology and a prorated, refund of the daily rate Interstate billed ******** **** ****** to compensate for the (3) days (and counting) of operational A/C days we were entitled to receive at the close of the service call on 8/4/2022.We remain without A/C as of this writing 8/7/2022.
