This email serves as a formal complaint against University Pediatric Dentistry. Approximately around July of 2022, I received a bill in the mail for $116.00. I called University Pediatric Dentistry and spoke to Tammy. I asked her why was I being charged for the procedure that was done at my son's last visit. She explained it could be a possibility that the procedure was done too soon, or that my insurance company does not cover those type of procedures. I said to her that my son has had the Sealant done many times before and I was never charged. I told her that they should have been informed of that information before the procedure was done. In any event, In the 8 years that my son has been a patient there, I have never been billed for any of his procedures in the past. University Pediatric Dentistry should have told me that my insurance was not going to cover the cost, therefore I would not have agreed for them to do the procedure. I should not have to be responsible for them failing to share that information with me.
