When walked into the dealership, I told 3 sales people exactly what I wanted, 2 door ******* with a soft top (gas only). I was told they don't have any and none are coming in. I agreed to test drive a a 4 door hybrid. When I saw the ****, I said I don't want a hard top. Well, I feel I was bullied and taken advantage of. I was told they would help me find a way to store the hard top, they lied. Fast forward 3 1/2 months, I need a form for taxes. General manager was left 4 messages, never returned a call. Very poor business to deal with, avoid at all cost. They picked a vehicle out and said that the vehicle was cheaper, the CR-V vehicle that is why we are selling this one to me. Only cheaper in price. Well the vehicle started leaking transmission fluid after a week plus. I took a road trip to Ohio for family, and they noticed some fluid. I drove back home to see my dad, he too said my new vehicle was dripping oil on his brand new driveway. I called Lia Honda, took vehicle in the following day. Waiting in the waiting room for about 35 mins…then service writer told me my engine oil was not leaking but my transmission is leaking all over. So after arguing with them, I have a loaner. They Tried to charge me $20.00-$40.00 a/day for a brand new vehicle repair while I had their loaner. That is very upsetting but I resolved that after fighting for my rights, I will not be paying for a brand new vehicle plus rental. I waited a week plus for parts to arrive. Service installed the new parts, still leaking all over. So waited another week for headquarters service rep to approve a full transmission replacement. Today finally was approved but not sure of time frame for new transmission to arrive at dealership. So the brand new vehicle has been at dealership longer than I had it. Plus not sold on this vehicle, it’s a lemon, a problem vehicle which they are fighting me on to take the problem vehicle back to exchange it. I feel the vehicle has been a major problem that I should not have to deal with. What else will go bad on this vehicle, they should used it in their rental fleet. So I want everyone to know they do not live up to their reputation and would recommend purchasing a new Honda or any other brand at a different dealership. I will not be returning and the way they treated disable veteran, me. I will make sure no future veterans deal with this dealership. Highly recommend going to any other dealership, will not have the problems I am dealing with.Review from Laura R

Horrible customer service, questionable recalls, and attempts to charge for damage they caused. I brought my car in for an oil change and for them to do the recall services. The next day my warning lights were all in and the power steering was not working. I had to have my car towed 29 miles back to the dealership and be without a car for 5 days. Not only did they ever apologize for me having to go through this, but they tried to charge me $450 just to diagnose what was going on. All they cared about was telling me that my car not working the next day after their service was a coincidence and to not accept any fault. They then made me sign a form agreeing to their claims of no fault and that they will not be held responsible for anything moving forward. They would not release my car without signing and they would not make a copy of the signed form for me. They also refused to allow me to take a photo of the signed form for my records. They were hesitant and withholding when I tried to collect the names of everyone involved in the situation. I would not trust their recalls, or ever take my car in for service at this dealership. Not only did they not attempt to correct a situation, but they denied any responsibility and attempted to charge me a lot of money to fix the blown fuse that occurred during their service.Review from Mohammad A

I brought my car in for a transmission and water pump service. Unfortunately, it took three weeks for the parts to arrive. During the repair process, they informed me that the RF strut mount had rotted and come apart, holding me liable. Additionally, the service experience was disappointing, with the service man displaying poor communication, bad advice, and unprofessional conduct. Mr. *****: I apologize for any rudeness on our behave and I will talk with your adviser on this situation. With extended warranties it does take longer. The outside company has to send an adjuster out to verify your concern and to determine the fix. In your case you had multiple concerns and repairs. When the technician was installing the right-side axle, the strut fell on him due to the mount being completely rusted and nothing to secure it in place. We worked with you on the cost of the repair, saving you over $230.00 . Please call me and we can discuss this further. I want to be clear, the ONLY reason I brought my vehicle to Lia Hyundai of Albany is because of the warranty on my engine. I have been a technician for over 25 years and would love to do the work myself. It is impossible to get anybody on the phone here. I have called multiple times over the last week, and the only people I can get a hold of are appointment coordinators. They take my message and say someone will get back to me "as soon as they can." I have e-mailed and tested them also, no response. A week after I have my car towed there I finally get a call back to say that my car is covered and that their manager will call me later about getting a loaner vehicle. That was 3 days ago. If my dealership treated it's customers like this we would be punished by corporate. This is ridiculous. I have contacted Hyundai customer support to complain to them also.Lia Auto Group Response

Multiple trips for same related issues. Driver seat keeps breaking, 3 times for repair. Oil warning light on constantly. At least 4 or 5 times at service dept. No one answers phone when calling.then you get the run a round. No manager has yet to answer the phone ever.Lia Auto Group Response

If I could give Lia Honda Williamsville zero Stars I would! They run a classic bait-and-switch there! Be weary as they changed the most important part of a written sales agreement to us at the closing after we spent too many hours researching and working on an agreement to buy at Lia!! Their new sales manager needs to learn integrity and could have saved the deal and all I wanted was to let the owners of Lia Honda know from a customer what they did and how they killed a deal after promising in writing before the closing!!! If the owners are not in touch with honest buyers and don't want to hear what their employees are doing they deserve a zero Star!!Lia Auto Group Response

I brought a car from them 3 weeks ago after driving it I noticed that the AC was not working properly. I also am having an issue with my head lighting at night time. I’ve contacted several people regarding this matter but with no results. Also I am covered under my warranty to receive rent a car service which includes another $100 with my payment. This is becoming concerning because when ever I need service I can’t get a rental a car EVEN. I am so sick of the excuses and poor customer serviceLia Auto Group Response

On February 8th we drove 2 1/2 house to Lia Chrysler Jeep in Schenectady to buy a 2023 Grand Cherokee L Summit. All went well until Nick the finance guy came in . He was very pushy on the extended warranty. He said it would increase our payment by 20 dollars, and never mentioned a deductible. We reluctantly said o.k. Be Aware you only sign a digital screen at this dealership, never a piece of paper. When the deal was done our payment went up 50 dollars with a 200 dollar deductible! I told Nick and he said it’s too late you already signed for it. So now we are trying to cancel the warranty, but that I have to drive 2 1/2 hours back to sign for it. I asked for them to overnight the paperwork to me and I would sign and send it back. That is against Company Policy! Buyer Beware, Nick is very misleading on what you are signing for, we never even saw a bill of sale until after everything is done. When the warranty gets canceled the money goes back to lender and we are still stuck with a higher payment for the life of the loan. You told me you were going to go a local Chrysler store to cancel your Mopar warranty, which you did. I know you are not happy that the money went back to the bank but this is Mopar requirement. Lia Hyundai of Albany is by far the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I never write reviews but I have never felt so aggravated. Wheel locks came on my tires. After having my car for a little over a year, I went to get new tires somewhere else and the key for the wheel locks weren’t in the car. I called Lia to see if they had a spare or even to just take the locks off for me since I was never given the key. They wanted to charge me to replace them plus labor, for their mistake. The key was never in the car, I found the empty bag and the paper that was supposed to be with it in my glove box. It took me 3 days to get ahold of anyone and every single person had an attitude. I just wanted to get the locks off and be done with it. I’ve read reviews from others saying the same thing happened to them. The dealership should leave what came in the car from the manufacturer and not take things out and blame the costumer for their incompetence. The manager never called me back. Jenn, who is an assistant service manager, was the worst person I have ever dealt with. She called me and tried to put the blame on me, lie and say they looked up records and saw I had my tires rotated somewhere else, which I never did! I don’t know where she thinks she can get acting like that when I wanted something done that was so simple. She continued to laugh at the situation, and argue with me after I never touched my tires until now. They just lost two costumers. In response to your recent review, I apologize for the experience you had and the way it was handled. I did reasonable research with Lia Hyundai of Albany and could see two sides to this situation. I do not know exactly what/how your vehicle came to not having the locking Lugnut key in its proper spot.
