I have had my system for over 13 years. At first, it was good, but as my system got older I got service. Kinetico has always overcharged for coming out to replace a water filter. They charged $189 just to come out and the cost for the filter. About 2 years ago I had my water filter changed and I paid close to $300 which is a rip-off. The system seemed as if it was not working. I called several time throughout the year and got nothing resolved because I would leave a message and when the company call back about a week after they would leave a voicemail and it keep going like that until I gave in. When I finally got to speak to someone and explained I was told I would have to pay all this money again, I said no.Today 08/24/23 I had a service person came out because my puppy chewed on the drain hose. I came home to the drain line dumping inside my backyard. I called Kinetico and was told $189 service charge, I told the lady about what happened last time and that the filter needed to be changed. The guy came out and it took 5 minutes to repair the drain hose. He cut the damaged piece out and replaced it quickly with 5 ft white hose. We went inside to the drinking water portion of the system and when he called on the phone talked to someone and then told me it would be $205 for the filter! I told him I was not paying $400 or more for an old water system that was not even working properly! The manager was very rude and he said the filter was $99 not knowing the service guy said $205. Whatever the cost, I was never going to pay over $400 or more for a 10-minute job on an old water system. Very bad service and a rip-off company! These people should be advising me on looking into a new system but to try to get me to give them $400 as if it's nothing. The guy left without pay, and the company was unprofessional towards me. I will stop by Friday or Monday to pay them the $189. Do not do business with Kinectico! **************** is horrible and has always been horrible!!
