On Oct 14, 2023 I met with Nathan Rojo from Rojo Ornamental Iron, LLD concerning my desire to purchase a custom iron security gate with door and desert theme. Rojo Ornamental Iron had been recommended by a neighbor. Nathan showed me photos of similar jobs they had done, and we agreed on the overall look, size, timing, and a price for the project. Nathan asked for a 50% deposit before beginning. He agreed to email a written agreement including receipt for my deposit by the end of the day. He also agreed to email design specifications for my and my homeowner architecture committee’s review within the week. The job completion date was set for mid-end of November, 2023. I wrote a check for $1,800 and Rojo Ornamental Iron cashed the check. When I didn’t get the agreement and receipt by the end of the day, I began calling and finally asking him to return my deposit. Nathan then answered one of my calls saying his mother was their accountant and was behind on her work. On Oct 24 I did receive the written agreement and receipt, and a promise to email the design specifications within a few days. As of today, January 18, 2024, after many calls, texts, and emails, I have not received anything from Rojo Ornamental Iron, LLD. Specifically I have not received design specifications, a return call, or text or visit to my home from Rojo Ornamental Iron. And they have not returned my deposit.
