On 10/20/23, Kyle contacted me regarding a referral for repairs due to water damage. A survey was conducted on 10/26/23, a contract was drawn up and signed on 10/27/23, and a 50% down payment made on 10/31/23. The contract had a 20-30 day projected start but were told since it could be completed in a day or two, we should hear back within 2 weeks. I reached out on 11/14/23 regarding the lack of communication and was informed by Denise that the work on my home was "such a small job..." and larger jobs took priority and I would be contacted when a slot opened up. On 12/22/23, repairs were put on hold due to an adjustment needing to be made. The initial estimate stated that the original carpet would be used but was later determined to be inadequate for the repairs. From 12/29/23-03/20/24, I have personally made 13 phone calls to RR regarding the repairs. That does not include emails, texts or any contact made by my spouse. In contrast, RR has only contacted me 7 times from 11/28/23-03/19/24. Of the times RR did reach out, it was to usually to give us a less than a 24hr notice that someone would be available for a project. e.g. Denise called at 1325 on 03/11/24 to inform me that a technician would be available on 03/12/24 to demo the floor. When my spouse called asking for courtesy of our time, he was offered a morning start time on 03/14/24 and an end date of 03/19/24 (no work done on weekends). We couldn't afford to be displaced for a week since most hotels don't allow pets (2 dogs) and house rentals are slightly more costly. We compromised on work for 03/18/24-03/21/24 with us returning home on 03/22/24. Francisco (thank you!) started Monday and completed the demo in a timely manner...then nothing. We're out a week's wages, money wasted on a rental, extra gas travelling to/from our home to for workers that never showed, exhausting our physical and mental health to still be left waiting.
