    In July, I purchased a 2022 GMC Sierra from Cronin GMC of Bowling Green. Their finance dept sold me a gap insurance contract that cost me $850 when I purchased the vehicle. A week later I refinanced the truck with a different lender, and the new lender had their own gap insurance contract, so I canceled the previous one. Cronin GMC told me that I would be refunded the $850, but I just had to wait some time. They have been giving me the run around since July 2022. They no longer respond to my voice-mails or email, after telling me last year that they would pay me. I filled out the gap cancelation form just as they had instructed me to do. Here we are; 8-9 months later and they still haven't paid me or given me any reasonable explanation. My $850 couldn't have vanished into thin air. The gap insurance company and the original lender both told me that Cronin GMC dealership are the ones responsible for refunding my money. There seems to be nowhere that I can turn to get any answers.

    My husband contacted the dealership about a used truck the dealership had posted in Autotrader. After a few conversations with the salesperson about the truck, the dealership agreed to hold the truck after we purchased a flight from Oklahoma to Ohio. They recommended hotels in the area, so they were well aware we were flying in, getting a rental car and a hotel. As soon as the truck started by my husband it began to smoke. It smoked the entire time the truck set, was test driven, etc. The injectors or something else major is wrong with it. There is no way the salesperson and dealership were not aware that it smoked and needed major repairs. Even though my husband asked many questions about the truck, had pictures sent, etc. prior to us booking a flight, the salesperson said it ran great and was a good truck for its age. Obviously, that was a lie. Once before we started the truck and after the test drive I requested the full inspection report from the salesperson. He told me he would get it both times, but never produced it. We spent a lot of time and money plus had to get last-minute flights home and change our rental car drop spot since we had intended to drive the truck 1,000 miles home. If a dealership will hide something so obvious from a customer that is spending a lot of money and time to travel to purchase a vehicle, I can only imagine what else they hide from their customers.
