On 10/10/22, I purchased a Danby microwave from ABC Warehouse in Fort Wayne, IN. At the time of purchase, I also bought a 2 year extended warranty. Last month, the plastic on the keypad began bubbling. I reported the issue on the Danby website using the provided form. I received an expeditious response from Customer Service. Over the course of 3 days and 7 e-mails between Customer Service and myself, the issue was never resolved to my satisfaction. Danby's first response to my issue was "We don't cover repairs for microwaves". I informed them that on Page 12 of my microwave manual was the "Limited Carry In Warranty". Their subsequent response was "Getting it serviced was not part of the warranty". Danby requested I remove the plastic sheet from the keypad. I informed them I would do so when I received a new plastic sheet from them to install on the keypad. That same day, I telephoned ABC Warehouse and spoke with Josh, the Store Manager. I informed Josh that Danby's warranties on microwaves cover only parts, and not service repairs. After relaying my experience with Danby to Josh, Josh made arrangements for me to return my microwave to ABC Warehouse for a replacement. So disappointed in Danby customer service. I filed a warranty claim and was assured I would hear back with next steps, whatever that means. I supplied all the information requested and went through troubleshooting. After being on hold on the phone for a very long time, I did get a person who assured me they had everything they needed and that I would hear back via email in two hours. That was 6 days ago! I bought a Danby dishwasher that worked great for about 2 months. After that it stopped draining. I contacted their support and was given a list of servicers for warranty repair. I called all of them on the list, none of them service my area. I contacted Danby again to see how to proceed, I was told they should all service my area. I contacted the servicers again just to say I did, told Danby again that none of them serviced my area, and never received another response from them. I have since submitted multiple tickets with them to try to get this issue resolved all of which have been ignored. This has been going on for almost a month now and it has been over a week since I last heard from Danby. I will soon be taking legal action if this is not resolved.Danby Products Inc. Response

I'm giving them ONE Star because I couldn't give them any less. I bought a small upright freezer from them on June 1, 2021 and it didn't even last a year. I contacted them and they started making me jump through hoops on getting a Warranty Repair or Replacement. They wanted video's showing how it was plugged into the wall and all kinds of ridiculous stupid stuff...too much to even go into here. Needless to say, hundreds of dollars of foods were lost in this piece of junk and they would not address my issues. I ended up buying a Frigidaire from Home Depot this weekend and had them haul this curse off to the dump. NEVER AGAIN, Buyer Beware!!!Danby Products Inc. Response

Hello. After reviewing your Danby CASE******* I can see how you would be disappointed. Unfortunately, the consumer service department cannot provide replacements to the dealer (the dealer can obtain a return authorization from Danby Sales at any time under their contract). The consumer service department is required to have the unit serviced by a technician before considering an internal replacement. We're not trying to make anybody jump through hoops, rather ensuring that replacements are not sent out when a unit might be repaired or the problem corrected with simple troubleshooting. I bought a Danby 50 Pint DoE Dehumidifier with pump in August 2021 from costco.com, It comes with 2 years manufacture warranty. It worked okay until the end of the year. I followed instruction and done the end-of season care. In last Saturday, when our weather get warm and humidity got high, I pull the machine out start to use it second time. However, It seemed not working anymore, I set the humidity at 40, the number on dehumidifier show 59, and no water collected. I sent email to customer service, some one replied email asked to do a hot shower test, and have the machine reboot. I have done what the email said, but the situation has no been changed, I also found out the machine's back panel keeps freezing up with thick ice when the machine is running. I know this appears to be a bigger problem. I sent email back on Sunday midnight, hoping that I can hear some response Monday (on their business hours), Now that Tuesday is already over, I have again sent multiple emails demanding for the answers, but I heard nothing. I have also called their 800 numbers, they put me on waiting for a long time, finally said some one will send me follow-up email. once again there is nothing from them. I filed rating on their website, when I submitted, see the rating from 3.3 to 2.6, but a few seconds later, the rating back to 3.3 and obviously they blocked my rating. I wonder what kind of game this company is playing?? Such bad products; such poor customer services; and such unacceptable business practice!!! I don't believe at this point, they can fix the problems, therefore, I want my money back!Danby Products Inc. Response

The WORST warranty and customer service. They want you to destroy your old unit, spoil any food, and wait a week for replacement to come. Do they take the old unit away? NO. Do they respond by phone? NO. Once a day by email in the middle of the night is all they reply as if customer service is on Mars and it takes a day to send a signal. Avoid Danby. It will cost more to 'exercise' your replacement in shipping and dumping fees than you may have paid!Review from Rebecca G

Customer service at Danby is not helpful at all. I received a damaged product ... i understand that these things can happen, but no one at Danby took ownership or helped me at all. Terrible customer service. I was never able to get anyone on the phone....emails were answered two or three days after I sent them.... they made promises to sort things out but they never did. Don't know how they can treat customers this way... I was delivered a damaged product and after 3 weeks I STILL have a damaged product and no resolution from Danby.Danby Products Inc. Response

Having read through the CASEXXXXXX, that is not the level of service that we aim to provide. I see our replacement order SO671034, and that we have tracking with FedEx (http://www.fedex.com/Tracking?&tracknumbers=XXXXXXXXXXXX), expecting to deliver by end of day today.
Apologies in this warmer weather, please ask the agent to escalate to their supervisor if it is not delivered by Monday.

Thank you for your information. Without your feedback, we cannot improve our operations. I can see from your CASEXXXXXX that the agent suggested checking for loose parts to try and solve the vibration, and then referred to local servicers. None of our service technicians should be charging money for an appliance with in-home warranty. Their entire call should be covered. I've passed this on to our service coordinator so that can correct the information disseminated by the service technician.
Having listened to the recording, I suspect it is the condenser fan that is rattling. We are expecting the parts to arrive in our warehouse next week, so the technician would not have been able to repair the unit, and Wayfair would have had to exchange anyway.
Please accept our apologies for the delayed service you received. We should have had this solved on *** ***** the moment we heard the recording. Best Wishes,
