              Our daughter paid an application fee and also a $200 hold fee for an apartment that she was denied for based on being just short of their 3x income of monthly rent. This requirement was never disclosed when we sat in the office after touring the place.and they also advised that she pay the $200 hold fee to held the apartment that will not be available until 12/16/23. My husband then had to pay a SECOND application fee to be a co-signer a couple days later. That in itself is bizarre since she already paid an application fee, so add the co-signer on. Her situation had changed and she requested her $200 hold fee back since she will not be taking the apartment that they wereholding even though it was not yet available. Now they are telling her that her hold fee is non refundable. She is requesting it back within the 72 hours that they stated they will refund it. The first application was denied so we had to do a second application with a co-signer and requested to cancel the hold within 72 hours of the second application with co-signer. This needs to be resolved asap.

              Buildings are outdated and need so many repairs. Rumors of gas leaks in some of the buildings. Management has been made aware and failed to fix these issues listed. My roof leaks. Our stand up shower door leaks. Our laundry door has parts made of wood-paste that are painted over. The dog waste containers are overflowing a least once a week and all you can do is stay downwind. The potholes make Toledo roads look smooth. All fixtures are outdated or rusted. Bathrooms look and feel like cheap hotel bathrooms. The only nice places here are the office and the gym. It feels like we work for the employees, not the other way around. The only nice places are the gym and the office. Pool frequently in disrepair or closed. Tiles that fall off of the pool aren't retrieved and may cut your feet when you're in the pool. We aren't allowed to hang up bird feeders bc they "generate waste which attracts pests." What that really means is that the buildings are close to the trees behind the place and have mice. We had a broken dishwasher for 4 months, a refrigerators with a busted seal for 6 months. These are considered "amenities" by the company so our requests were at the bottom of the list of work orders. Appliances are outdated, even "new" ones. 2000 appliances for 2022 prices. We were given a new one and it was rusted. Obviously used. Used to be so much better here. Now it just keeps getting sold over and over, bc so much is wrong with the place. Trains going by knock stuff off the walls or make them crooked, so tape your stuff down that you hang on the wall.

              Perrys Crossing Apartments have been the most disappointing rental experience I have had. When my roommate and I looked at the model unit for the complex, it was beautiful. Everything was very updated and looked current. The day I received my keys, my apartment looked NOTHING like what I had looked at in the model.

              While this was very frustrating, everything was fine until September of 2021. To start, the outlet in the bathroom is not up to code. Is still not up to code and they have known about this issue. The up to code did not bother me as much as the outlet going in and out consistently. Motel 6 even knows better than to not have an outlet in a bathroom up to code. When maintenance came, they did nothing, and I still have a nonworking outlet and not up to code outlet.

              Closet shelves in the other bedroom had collapsed. In both closets, they seem to be really falling apart and this apartment is notorious for painting over rusting or old things to make is seem as if there is not a problem.

              Since November, our heating has not properly worked. They have claimed they have not seen my maintenance requests and I would have to call in and ask what was taking so long. They neglected to fix our heat after several requests to have it fixed. About two weeks ago (months after first request), our heat went out completely. They claimed again maintenance came when I was in my home awake and did not hear or see anyone.

              An external company came to fix the heat the day it went out but was very rude, smelled horribly, and was using curse words in my home.

              The heat is still not working properly and after several conversations with the office, they do not seem to care and laugh when brought up. The most unprofessional staff I have met.

              The front door does not completely seal when locked/closed. We would put a maintenance request in, but it will be ignored.

              Do not bother with this apartment complex unless you are maintenance savy and do not mind unprofesional staff.
