Just wanted to say Ive been in the maintenance industry for over 30 years and I am physically appalled by the treatment my elderly mother received. A tech come out to check up on her furnace, they told her it was broken beyond comprehension and it would cost her $10,000 dollars to fix it. I was astonished, so I went over with a friend who works for ******** heating and cooling and the only thing wrong was a small leak that took a second to fix. My mom is elderly and widowed, but to take such advantage of her is FUCKED!!! I am getting every business and person I know to never go to them EVER!!!Review from Asianeka F

Find somewhere better. This company is trash and I'm beyond thankful my family is no longer associated with Iceberg. All their employees are absolutely miserable but to scared to say it! It's shameful truly, they have to worry more about losing their job than creating a happy work environment. They expect their employees to wait around all day long with no work and not being paid, which is illegal. Sadly a very unprofessional company.Insider point of view, take your money elsewhere. They'll charge you over $400 for a $15 part not including the visit fee and labor. Make sure you look up what you're buying before you buy it. You're welcome.Do better iceberg, you're a disgrace to your community. This has been cross posted.Review from JEFFREY M

THIS COMPANY DISCRIMINATE AGAINST PEOPLE OF COLOR, ALWAYS TRYING TO SELL NEW FURNANCE NEVER TALKED ABOUT PRESERVING THE FURNANCE. I HAD PROBLEM WITH FURNACE NOT COMING ON. TECHNICIAN CAME OUT, AFTER PUTTING IN NEW BATTERIES AND INSPECTING FURNANCE I HAD BAD THERMSTAT. HE GAVE ME A $350.00 PRICE TAG FOR NEW THERMOSTAT, WHEN I TOLD HIM I CAN GET IT CHEAPER. BUT BEFORE ALL OF THAT HE JUMP THE THERMOSTAT AND FURNANCE CAME ON RAN FOR FIVE MINUTES, BUT HE COULDN'T LEAVE THAT WAY BECAUSE OF SAFETY REASONS,BUT THE FURANCE CAME ON, SO WHEN I TOLD HIM I CAN FIND CHEAPER THERMOSTAT, HE SAID OK BUT HE HAD TO GO BACK DOWN STAIRS AND FINISH INSPECTION WHILE. HE SPENT ABOUT 15 MINUTES BEFORE COMING UP.THE NEXT DAY I BROUGHT NEW THERMOSTAT,INSTALL IT MYSELF THE FURNACE CAME ON THE FLAMESCAME ON THEN OFF, I TOOK COVER OFF WATCH FLAMES COME ON THEN OFF, I THEN NOTICE WIRE MISSING FROM FLAME SENSOR AND IF HE PERFORM INSPECTION AND FORGOT TO PUT WIRE BACK IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN CLEAR SIGHT BUT IT WASN'T, SO I CALLED ANOTHER COMPANY, THEY CAME OUT SEVERAL DAYS LATER.THE FIRST THING TECHNICIAN NOTICE WAS WIRE MISSING FROM FLAME SENSOR, I TOLD HIM HOW HE JUMP THE THERMOSTAT AND FURNACE RAN FOR SEVERAL MINUTES SO WIRE HAD TO HAVE BEEN ON FLAME SENSOR SO HE TOOK WIRE OFF SO I WOULD BUY THIER THERMOSTAT. THE NEW TECHNICIAN NOT ONLY COULD HE FIND SENSOR WIRE BUT THE BOLT HOLDING SENSOR IN PLACE WAS STRIP, HE HAD TO DRILL ANOTHER HOLE AND REPLACE THE WIRE. ONCE HE WAS DONE HE CAME UPSTAIRS TURN ON THERMOSTAT, THE FURNACE CAME ON THE FLAMES CAME ON AND STAYED ON, I HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS SINCE.Review from edward E

I almost don't know where to begin. Sixteen years ago, Iceberg installed a new HVAC system and we were also on their "gold" service plan ever since. In March I had them quote on a replacement of a 50-gallon water heater. Out of 4 estimates we got, Iceberg's was the highest of all - twice what the next highest bid was. All other estimates were within a few dollars of each other. Nice being a "valued customer" of 16 years. Last week, our thermostats (they originally installed) began to reset themselves to 50. The tech spent hours trying to isolate the problem and never did find it. They wanted to replace a zone board for $2000 and no guarantee it would correct the problem. We decided that because of the system's age and since we had put almost 2 grand in repairs to the system (all paid to them over the past three years, time to look at for a new HVAC system. Side note: I found the same board on Amazon for $430 so $1500 labor for a simple 1-hour labor. I said earlier that they installed our current system. We had 5 HVAC companies give a estimates for a new system. They all stated that they could not understand why Iceberg installed the system the way they did to begin with. Furnace was not sized correctly, mismatched to the heat pump unit outside, work-around baffles in some pipes, intake & exhaust pipes on the outside of the house were installed too close together, and more. Summary: a botched installation job from the start. All of the new companies quoting said the same thing. Sad when you put your trust into Iceberg as for sixteen years and find out they been ripping you off the entire time. I wonder how the owner sleeps at night. BUYER BEWARE. RUN AWAY IN FACT. They will try to lure you with razzle-dazzle and although they put on a good facade, they are only out for your money - as much of it as they can get. They care nothing about you the customer, except for finding ways to take more advantage of you. A rip-off scam company dressed in sheep's clothing.Review from zachary r

Avoid at all cost, they will lie to you to sell you a new furance. I was told my heat exchanger is starting to split ans it is a safety concern! So after fearing for my life I get a quote to replace the unit. Not only are they lying, but their prices are outrageous! I was quotes 17,000 dollars for a worse system then I just had installed for 10,800 dollars!Review from James J

ICEBERG 111 N. TELEGRAPH RD. Monroe. MI Technician installed a Inducer Fan Motor which was covered under warranty, and took less than one hour to install, at a cost of $475 for labor. Reported the incident, and was told, that's what everyone pays. This is a total rip-off. This company takes advantage and preys on the elderly.Review from Gaylynn T

Iceberg Heating and Cooling charged me $1,000 to change the motherboard on my furnace. Then for the next 4 days I still did not have heat. I called them everyday and they finally indicated that I needed a new furnace. New furnace was installed and stopped working while it rained for the 3 days and my thermostat read service was required. A tech came and stated there was a leak that caused the shut furnace to shut off and left. Inspector came out and sited a few violations and indicated that the leaks occured due the installation of the furnace. I called and left a vm for the Operations Manager stressing the urgency of the matter 12/20. The inspector rushed to get the report to the heating & cooling company by 4pm the same day in order to avoid me having to go without heat if it snowed or rained. The vm was very detailed indicating the inspection was completed and the report would be available by 4pm plz call them in order to resolve the issue asap. If not I will have no heat and my pipes could freeze. I live on a slab and if pipes froze all of my floor would be required to be dug up. He never called the city to get a copy of the report. I called everyday and requested the owner he never called either. Three days later on Wednesday I requested the Operations Manager he indicated he had not called the city and I had a copy of the inspectors report and fowarded it to him while on the phone. The city had already emailed it and copied me 3 days prior. In addition to that no protect for the floor or shoe covers were worn as promised and a 5 year "comfort club gaurantee" of $775 value should have be honored but was denied. My kitchen floor and carpeting was very dirty and I had to pay for steaming cleaning the carpet. The $500 "No fustration Gaurantee" was denied. (I have pictures of everything explained here as proof) They ripped huge holes in the insulation up in the attic but never taped the holes. Too much to state here but this company does not stand behind its contracted promises and the owner even refused to call to resolve the issues. Do NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!Review from William N
