Recognizing high school students for exceptional ethics, leadership, service and academic achievement
What are the Student of Ethics Awards?
BBB® St. Louis' Student of Ethics Awards provide a $2,500 scholarship to high school juniors who demonstrate high ethics through leadership, community service, personal integrity and academics.
Who can apply?
Current high school juniors in BBB St. Louis' service area may apply.
How are winners selected? What happens if you win?
Students will be selected by an independent, voluntary panel of judges. Judges evaluate the scholarship recipients based on their leadership, contributions to their communities and schools, personal integrity, academic accomplishments, letters of reference and written essay.
Benefits for winners include:
- $2,500 scholarship to be sent on the winners' behalf to the accredited college or trade organization of their choice
- Invitation for the student and two guests to attend BBB's Torch Awards event, accept their award and read their winning essay
Scholarships must be used within three years of receiving the award and must be applied toward school-related expenses, including: tuition, books, room and board or other related items.
