BBB’s new Guide to BBB Accredited Charities is designed to help donors, businesses and others find charities that will use their funds wisely.
The 200-plus charities listed in this guide have all met BBB’s 20 Standards of Charity Accountability. A BBB staff member has examined each of these nonprofits’ financial statements, fundraising materials and annual reports. We also ask charities to answer a questionnaire. Any charity may ask to be evaluated, free of charge.
Charities interested in being evaluated may contact Carole Bellman at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 314-584-6735.
Charities that meet our standards may qualify to use the BBB Accredited Charity Seal. There is a fee for use of the seal.
From any page of BBB’s website, you may search for up-to-date reports on charities in our region and across the nation. In the search bar on the upper right of most pages, select charities and then enter the charity’s name.
In this guide, charities are listed alphabetically by category. Each charity’s name is linked to its BBB Charity Review. Simply click on the name to see the review. The charity’s own website, location, mission and contact information also are listed. To see an alphabetical listing of BBB Accredited Charities, click here.
