During the sweltering heat i had a tech come out on 8/21 to see why my central air was barely blowing and the line was freezing. I had informed the scheduler and the tech that i do animal rescue and feared the condenser coil was clogged and dirty.after the tech insisted he walk through my home(to start at the thermostat) he merely glanced at the leaking u it in the basement.outside he hooked up his gadget and said my coolant levels were fine but that meant it was the unit itself.he did not pull the panel to even look at the condenser coil but said if he had to clean it it would take all day and cost over $1000 and not be worth it because the unit i put in 15 years ago was shotoffered option to buy and finance one through his company for well over $10,000(his words). Just said the unit wasnt maintained, it was filthy, and that i could just keep turning it on and off when it freezes. He laughed and said they call that poor mans air conditioning i am a 49 year old indigenous woman with three failed spinal fusions left with a $60 service fee and a 96 degree house because of these people.a friend had his retired HVAC guy come by to see what he could do.spent about three hours cleaning the condenser coil, sealed the drain to pump with new teflon tape. For under $500 my home is now 70 degrees. If you do not want to work on anything but new units or installing new units say so.the tech from this company made no effort to see if it was the coil in the first place, just left me in a 96 degree house.i do not know how lack of effort can be considered good business. Insulting people is not either.i was in tears with my poor mans air conditioning till an honest person was willing to get in there and get my coil clean. This has been a nightmare. I'm very impressed with the work of all the technicians employed. I've always received the best of service from Bel-O and recommend them to everyone I know. I do have one thorn. I received a flyer In the mail directly from Bel-O with a $200 coupon if you had a new water heater installed. Just do happens, my water heater died the night before after having it for 21 years. I was overjoyed for the coupon as I'm 79 years old and retirement is tight. Then, I learned that is not what the coupon actually meant. It meant water heaters were to go up $200 soon so get your heater replaced now before the increase. I was not prepared for that definition of $200 off in a new installation. I quickly said, False Advertising. The technician was sympathetic to what I was saying. The technician called the ********** was given $60 off for which I am grateful. However, I feel like I should have had the benefit of the $200 off as the flyer stated - on a new installation of a water heater. I have the highest praise of the professionalism of all the employees of Bel-O. I have used them for furnaces/air conditioners, etc for 25 or more years.BELOMAN Response

Im kind of blown away with the level of service that BELOMAN delivered with the installation of my new heating/cooling system. I got the bid, installed the next week. The guys who installed got here a bit before 8 am and were finished before 3 pm. It feels so much more comfortable in my house, even with the temperature set at the same level that I would set my old system. Thanks, BELOMAN, great work!BELOMAN Response

We had a new air conditioner installed. They ordered the wrong one, but gave it to us at the same quote we had agreed to in the contract. The installation seemed to be correct until we had water dripping from the smoke detector under the drip tray in the actic. We called immediately and someone did come out and told ** that the drip **** had been installed backwards. He corrected it and noted the water stains in the ceiling. Since it was so hot, he said the area was already dry. He said he could not make a decision for compensation. He said that the area was cramped and very hot to work in as the excuse for the error. The company finally sent us a small check but I would not recommend this company. We still have the stains and since we are new to the area, we do not know who to contact to help us with this.BELOMAN Response
