Whether its bat removal or my regular service, I have consistently received great service from Rottler. The technicians and office staff have always been responsive and helpful no matter how larger or small of a problem I have. Never got the chance to use them. They were very quick and communicative BEFORE they got me to sign the contract and give them my credit card. Seemed nice, answered my questions. The INSTANT I signed, I sent a message to make sure they received it, NOBODY responded. Not to say THANK YOU, verify they received it OR to set up the initial visit. I gave them 24 hours then sent a message that I wanted to cancel the contract. SUDDENLY, I get a message asking when would I like them to come out. I told them NO THANK YOU. I've been a Rottler customer for *****. Multiple techs made apps to come and service my property. I've had 3 straight no shows. Plus on the last visit they took 1 of my termite bait stations. I've called multiple times to get it replaced and they ignore my requests.Rottler Pest Solutions Response

Looks like you called into our office on 5/17 (message was sent to technician) and again today on 6/1 (message sent to manager and technician). I was a customer for two years. When I first signed up they made me pay almost $500.00 for termite bait traps. These were cheap plastic traps that when I canceled they came back and dug up my yard to get them out. When I called and asked why I was informed that the $500.00 I paid (and was told it was the payment for the bait traps) was actually their labor charge for the 2 hours it took to install them. Also whenever we had a pest problem we would call them out several times until I would just get tired of it and take care of it myself. This included ants (multiple times) and wasps. In the entire two years I can only think of one pest problem that they were ever able to resolve. When I chose to sign up with them I did so because I could pay for the entire year at one time. Without notice or giving any reason they stopped allowing that. At the same time they raised their rates by over $20 per visit.Review from Jacob S

Hi ****** We are very sorry that you had to wait five minutes for someone to answer your webchat question. The fastest way for a response would be to call us as we answer 95%+ our calls within 30 seconds or less. That being said, we are trying to give all our customers different options to reach us. Webchat is newer for us and we are working on making it an efficient way to reach us without it being a bot. We will continue to work on our response time. On April 20, 2021, I signed a year contract for mole services with Rottler. According to the contract, an initial mole control service consists of 3 visits completed over a 3 week period. Within 30 days of the initial service, Rottler will return for your first regular treatment at the regular service price, followed by ongoing every other month or monthly services at the regular service price. The initial mole control service with Rottler started out great with my technician, ***** **** completed the initial mole control service visits on 4/21/2021, 4/27/2021, 5/4/2021, and 5/17/2021 and the mole activity was actually showing slight signs of improvement. However, after the initial mole control service visits, I did not hear anything from Rottler or my technician about the first regular mole treatment for 3.5 months. Rottler finally scheduled the first regular mole treatment with a different technician, *** who arrived on 8/30/2021. ** was only at my property for approximately 4 minutes in total, and stated that there was "no mole activity" on the service report; however, there were many VERY visible signs of new mole activity all throughout my backyard. I have a few cameras on my property and I have *********** recorded showing that he knocked on the front door, waited about 30 seconds, walked a very quick perimeter check around my property, and was back in his Rottler vehicle all in about 4 minutes. Additionally, ** lied on the service report and stated that he serviced my property for 30 minutes. After ** left my property on 8/30/2021, I called the Rottler office and explained the situation. They gave me information to reach his direct supervisor, ***** I talked to **** on 8/31/2021. **** apologized and stated that my mole service issues were due to Rottlers short staffing issues, and he scheduled another first regular treatment service with our regular technician, ****, for 9/3/2021. **** also asked me to email him the video of **s VERY brief service, which I emailed to **** on 9/2/2021. On 9/3/2021, **** performed the first regular mole treatment service, 3.5 months after the initial mole control services were completed, by leaving approximately **** mole baits in my property around the new mole activity. **** confirmed that he would be back in one week to check the baits and add more as needed. After about two weeks had passed with no follow up from Rottler or my technician, on 9/15/2021, I left a voicemail for the supervisor, ****, and told him I was again unhappy with my mole services and requested a call back. I did not receive a call back from ****, so I called the Rottler office and canceled my mole services on 9/15/2021. I have paid Rottler a total of $470, the year contract total for services is $750. I am so very disappointed with this company and the customer service I received. ********************** did not follow our agreed upon contract, and I feel like I have completely wasted $470 because my mole activity is even worse now than it was before. I will NEVER use Rottler again.Review from Sarah S

Signed monthly mosquito contract and had fantastic service in June. They never returned again. Cancelled service in August after I had to knock down a wasp bed on my patio.Rottler Pest Solutions Response

Our Branch Manager reached out to apologize for our error in not getting the ************** scheduled and offered for him to come out personally to conduct a free service, even if the customer didn't want to stay on service with us. They declined but we let them know that the offer still stands if they change their mind. We always appreciate the opportunity to make it right!Review from Todd O.

we have been with rottler 19 years and never late on a payment. in april the rottler man knocks on my door and tells me i haven't paid my bill and he can't do anything until i pay. i explained that i never received the bill but i wrote him a check to get it all cleared up. now in august i receive a phone call from their billing department telling me i owe them for two payments. i explained that i never received a bill and she proceeds to tell me that they stopped sending bills and i should have received the bill in my email. i told her that the man that came out never said a word about the new billing system and since i receive the bill in the mail that if i receive a email from them i probably didn't read it. she told me if i wanted to get the bill in the mail they would charge me for sending it out. 19 years and they treat you like a deadbeat. time for a change.Rottler Pest Solutions Response

I called and spoke to **** to apologize and discussed our recent struggle with staffing, like many companies are facing right now. We have had to rely more on electronic billing communication during that short time. We have added two team members to the billing department and are now back to that personal communication that our customers expect. **** is keeping our service and was kind enough to discuss how we can improve future communication with our customers. We very much value his feedback and will use it to make us better. I gave him my cell phone number if he needs any further assistance.
