I would not even give a single star to this so-called "business". I had evidence of bats in my attic and called Blue Chip for a consultation. The individual who came took a look in my attic for a few minutes and walked the perimeter outside. He said that the biggest issue may be my insulation and that he would take a look. He then sat me down at the dining room table and proceeded to inform me that I had a "dangerous infestation" and needed to replace the insulation in the entire attic. He said it was a health issue and showed me a few photos of the supposed "hole" where they were coming in and a small image of bat excrement on insulation. He estimated I had at least 10 bats and have other infestations from rats, squirrels, etc. He punched on his calculator over and over and gave me an estimate of over $7,000. I was in absolute shock, and it became clear he was not to be trusted when he said the "owner only cares about money" yet he wants me to do the healthy thing, so he cut the price to $3,500. Another company came and said that I perhaps had 2 bats, yet said it was amongst the "cleanest" attics he had seen and that I had new insulation that must have been installed in the past few years before I purchased the home. $S00 later, the bats were gone and home sealed in areas of concern. I called Blue Chip multiple times to complain and was not given the decency of a call back. I feel horribly for other patrons who fell for this ************* associate using fear and scare tactics to coerce innocent people into spending money on insulation. Shame on you.Review from Justin S

Just wanted to share my experience w/ Blue Chip Pest Control.My 6 month old puppy got into their rat poison box in my back yard which they assured me would never happen. They said he could never get into it and that the poison would never hurt him because of his size. (About 50lbs. at the time). He couldnt stop vomiting and was pooping blood. My girlfriend took him straight to the Vet where they treated him with vitamin K and some nausea stuff for his stomach. I have been a customer for over 10 yrs. and when I called to notify them they told me that wasnt possible like I made it up. All I asked from them was to please pay the approx. $400 Vet bill. We went back and forth for several months finding it very difficult to get ahold of them most times. Finally they asked me to get something in writing from my Vet which I did and they still would not respond for over a month. I then threatened to leave a bad review and within an hr. they responded offering to credit my account for the Vet bill. That would have been great if theyd have did that in the beginning, but after all the grief all I really wanted was to get reimbursed so I could take my business elsewhere. I know the ownership changed recently but that is no way to treat a long term customer. I will never use them again and if asked, will def. urge others to use someone else!Review from Thomas S.

Not the same since they were bought out. Their dispatching department always has been a problem. But at least before the buyout -- at some point during their inevitable scheduling problems or failures to provide service -- someone with authority, expertise, and common sense would get involved and fix it. Now? There's no one around to step in and fix it. Until recently, we've been long-time customers on their year-round residential service plan. But this spring the problems started. First the technician arrived before the scheduled time they gave us -- we weren't home at the time -- so he did not provide any interior service. If he had come when we scheduled him, we would have pointed out the developing bird/mite problem we had, as well as the mole problem we had. And we would have requested they service both issues.When we contacted Blue Chip to schedule someone to come fix those problems they told us they'd send someone to inspect the issues -- not fix them. This is different than before the buyout. Before ... the technician would at least have sprayed for the mites. Eventually they sent a technician who, after inspecting gave us quotes to fix the problems. We signed two contracts for over $2,000 of services. We were a little shocked at the price, but by now the problems had escalated so much that we were desperate to fix them.Here's where their dispatching department dealt the final blow: they phoned to schedule the services. We asked the dispatcher to send an email confirmation of the dates/times. She said OK but never did. Then ... no one came. When we called to find out why, the dispatcher who phoned us with the dates and times claimed she gave us different dates and times. We told them that was not true, but to go ahead and provide the service for the dates they now claimed they scheduled. But no one showed for those dates/times either. When we contacted them to find out why, they ignored our calls and emails. We cannot recommend them any longer.Review from Maggie C

Lee was our service technician and did an amazing job. We have been Blue Chip customers for 18 years and receive outdoor treatments to our home every 2 months. We recently noticed an increase in spider activity in the finished basement and called Blue Chip. They sent a technician within a day and did a thorough assessment and treatment of the lower level.
