Key Property Management was a referral from a friend as I was moving to Arizona for a job with the intention of moving back eventually.
The tenants that Key Property Management has found to lease my property have been a nightmare.
In June of 2019 the first tenants moved in. I started to get phone calls and text messages from the pool company that I pay for that the breaker switches are turned off for the pool pump. The pool company sent me pictures of the turned off breaker switches. It took multiple complaints to my agent at Key Management to resolve the issue and I really don't believe it was ever resolved.
I drove by my property while visiting my daughters and noticed that my 2 trees were in rough shape. I contacted my agent at Key Property management stating that my tree's appeared to be dying. He stated that it had been really hot in Las Vegas and I told him that my tree's look much worse than the tree's in the neighborhood. When I put the water back in my name after the tenants moved out the water company told me that the tenants paid only 2 month's of water bills and the water was not turned off due to Coid, they left an 800+ water bill. The agent at Key Property management said the trees could be replaced, it takes years to grow trees.
When these tenants moved out then I received complaints from 2 neighbors in the cul-de-sac that the tenants have left a lot of junk in front of the house to include mattresses propped against trees and seats from cars. When contacting my rep at Key Properties he responded that some people leave behind a lot of junk. He did not tell me when the junk would be removed.
According to the agent at Key Property management the 2nd tenant was awesome and the property leased in only a few days.
The tenant paid rent for partial July and full August and September. She did not pay for Oct, Nov or Dec but rather applied for CHAPs and was approved.
On September 30, 2021 I started to get text messages from my neighbor across the street that works from home and has a web cam. She sent me several videos of fighting between the tenant and her boyfriend with police visits that were also captured on web cam. Key Properties started a nuisance eviction which they charged me for. She sent a sob email related to her daughter being in a good place and promised the boyfriend would no longer be around. I agreed to let her stay with good behavior. The beginning of Dec 2021 my next neighbor contacted me via phone to tell me that the tenant's boyfriend threw a rock through my beautiful window next to the door. She did replace the window. My agent at Key Properties told me that I cannot do a nuisance eviction while receiving money from CHAPs, I will call them tomorrow to check on.
I told my agent at Key Property management that I would no longer accept any rental assistance payments beyond 12/31/2021 which he agreed to communicate to the tenant.
Based on Clark County Justice records this tenant has several prostitution, tresspassing *** petty theft charges. She has a domestic violence charge when she resided at my home.
My agent at Key Properties has told me that a judge will not evict around the holidays. Based on justice court records this tenant has been evicted 12/17/2018 and again in 2019. I reminded the agent at Key Property management that she was evicted right before the holidays.
I had asked my agent at Key Property Management about missing pool tiles when the last tenants were living at my property as reported by my next door neighbor. I asked him about it at least twice and was ignored. Recently I brought it up again and the agent said he would get a pool guy over to give an estimate. I told him it should have been taken out of the 1st tenant's deposit and that I'm not paying for it, he did not respond to me.

When the 2nd tenant moved in there was an issue with the washing machine not working. I have a home warranty on the home and assumed it was taken care of. Recently I was contacted by a company contracted to repair it and was told they wouldn't repair it until the moldy water was removed. Key Properties charged my $280 for a company to remove the water. It is negligence on Key Property's part and I should not have had to pay for it.

I would suggest an audit of their invoice charge practices.

The agent at Key Property Management told me he doesn't make any money on the 7% fee charged for property management. I will never ever use Key Property Management again they are useless.
