After entering some member-authentication information, I was then subjected to an apparently automated three separate levels of sales promotion, shunted automatically from one to the next. The sales objective was never identified specifically, but it sounded like a lead-in attempt to sell a Medicare Advantage plan (instead of the existing Supplemental plan and claim question I was calling about).
Then, after nearly 3 minutes, the "Member Services" disconnected again, with no resolution of the problem I had called about.
I called a separate, alternative Anthem number I found after searching online, was told by the live individual answering there that other such complaints were being registered, and reports were being sent on to "management." The grossly irresponsible, grasping, self-serving individual(s) who caused the problem in the first place for this time-wasting Anthem circus should be fired.
