The Colorado Institute for Social Impact and Air Academy Federal Credit Union Foundation present the 14th Annual “Going for the Green” Golf Classic

Business professionals are invited to participate in local charity golf tournament.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Aug. 3, 2017 – The Colorado Institute for Social Impact (formerly Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado Foundation) and Air Academy Federal Credit Union Foundation have teamed up to present the 14th annual “Going for the Green Golf Classic” at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 14, at The Country Club of Colorado at Cheyenne Mountain Resort, 125 E. Clubhouse Drive, 80906.

All proceeds from the Golf Classic go toward supporting the outreach and education efforts of both organizations. Business professionals are invited to join in some friendly competition and networking.

“The credit union philosophy of ‘People Helping People’ is magnified with the help of the BBB,” said Brad Barnes, chief financial officer of Air Academy Federal Credit Union. “Our organizations are so well-aligned this Golf Classic gives us both an opportunity each year to give back to our Southern Colorado community.”

“We appreciate our partnership with Air Academy Federal Credit Union and the opportunity to positively impact the community through this fundraiser,” said Jonathan Liebert, CEO of the BBB. “It’s also a great time for business professionals to network and make new connections.”

Sponsors of the event include Alloya Corporate Federal Credit Union, Allied Solutions LLC, CDW, and Cumulus Media radio stations Xtra Sports 1300 and AM 740 KVOR.

Tickets for individuals are $195 per person, and foursomes can play for $700. Players will have access to a post-event Awards Luncheon.
