    On Friday, October 28 I was contacted by *************************** who is Internet sales manager at this dealership he promised me he would deliver the car if I wanted to move forward by Friday evening or Saturday preferably Saturday was his choice he said we need to hurry and get things done well they ran my credit we got financed And then he dropped the ball he did not want to do anything he said he said it was recorded but so is mine and I know what mine says and he said he would have it delivered actually meet me in **** ******** on Saturday then they back out and said its gonna be in the middle of next week which is too late because I told him at the beginning of the purchase that if it wasnt to be delivered on Saturday I did not want it I highly recommend staying away from this dealership because they are full of lies and deceit

    My dissatisfaction is with the service department. I purchased from a private seller a used Subaru that had a minor problem: the hill safe mechanism wasn't working. I bought it knowing it needed new CV joints. Normally I would have taken it to my mechanic whom I've been going to for years, but he's often booked out for several weeks. I thought it could be safe to get it diagnosed by a Subaru dealership and was willing to lose the $180+ service fee (even though my mechanic would have diagnosed it for free). Heuberger service came back with a quote totalling over $10k. They maintained that the catalytic converter needed replacing (to the tune of about $3k) and that the engine needed to be torn down because of oil leak (wanting to replace gaskets) to the tune of around $4k, and the CV joint replace for around $2k; meanwhile they had no solution for the reason I took it in. I went and paid them for the appraisal and took my car back home . . . and immediately contacted my mechanic. He said he'd work me in sooner than I'd have thought to evaluate and added that, while he doesn't like to badmouth other shops, he gets a lot of customers fleeing Heuberger. Within a week my mechanic looked it over and came back with a quote at $900. The engine oil leak was the two oil pressure sensors gone bad (there were oil puddles on the head of the engine)--an easy fix for around $200, and both of the CV joints replaced for $700 parts and labor. Turns out he was able to go ahead and do the easy fixes the next day, and I took it home having paid only $900. Meanwhile, the hill-save feature he "fixed" for free (it just needed to be re-set and turned on). We'll keep an eye on the catalytic converter, which showed no signs of needing replacement (no more indicative code), and he pointed out that the sensor oil leaks he'd fixed likely were dripping on the converter and causing the code to be thrown (he said he's seen that happen before). ****** learned: find a mechanic you can trust.
