    In June of 2023 we purchased a cruise trip on Cruise.com. We fully paid for the trip in January of 2024. Later in January of 2024 my mother in law was diagnosed with terminal cancer with a short window of life to live as well as the start of cancer treatments to prolong her life as much as possible. We decided to cancel the cruise. When we contacted Cruise..com the rep said that it was too late to get a 100% refund, we missed the deadline by 1 day. We asked for an exception to the policy, they even asked Norwegian, but they wouldn't budge. No worries, we agreed to the 25% penalty. The rep asked us to send in a form to cancel and said that we would see the 75% refund in 5 weeks. When I called to check on the status of our refund after 5 weeks, the rep said too bad, they never received our cancellation request. Now we could only get 50% refund. We have provided proof that we sent the request to their email address, as they told us to do and still a "Too bad" response is all I got. Additionally, they said they would need to bill my credit card for an additional 50% of the cruise fee for the cancellation fee, more money, before they would send a refund . These tactics seem predatory and very unethical.I am hopeful that you can help me resolve this situation and get the 75% refund that I agreed to in January.

    I booked a 2 cruises to Asia with cruise.com. I noticed in other comments that cruise.com said it was probably a different agency people were talking about, so I want to make sure there is no confusion about who I am talking about. My frustration is that they did not forward the information from the cruise line to me. I had called multiple times, left messages, emailed and received no response from the agent? Finally, I did receive information that was forwarded to someone else and they sent it to me. This was in-regards to the **** information and what to put in the application. I would consider this to be vital important information to pass on to the passenger. Interesting, I still have not received the **** information from them for the second cruise out of Asia I am on. I have gone online to ask if someone could post theirs. When you book a cruise especially one that requires a **** and any other type of documentation, I am trusting the Travel Agency/Agent to give me the information that will be required. If you are just booking a trip and require no assistance then this may be the agency for you.I should mention I needed to cancel a refundable cruise I had booked here and that was a nightmare. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I have cruised more than 100 cruises so feel that if someone has a question at least get back to them and tell them you don't have the answers or you only book cruises and that is far as your obligation goes.

    I feel so sorry for your bad experience.  I passed your information so one of our supervisors can contact you immediately and help you solve this problem.  I can see your name in our system so I know you booked through us, however, sometimes clients get confused with travel agencies, and that is why you will see some of our reviews indicating that we need more information because we cannot pull reservations that are not booked through us.  Expect the call from one of our team members today or tomorrow.  Again, so sorry for the inconvenience.
