In Sept 2023, I got a quote from ********************* from Blue Horizon Shipping for a 20ft container($13,295+$950) and a 40ft container($19,495+$1300) to *******. After many exchanges to confirm that I can ship my electric vehicle in the container and clarify the costs, I decided to ship my household goods and electric vehicle in a 40ft container. The signed agreement reflects this.The movers came at the end of Dec 2023 and packed up my household goods which included 4 tires to use with my car. The plan was to store my household goods at the warehouse for one month (one free month of storage included) before picking up my vehicle and loading my household goods and vehicle into the 40ft container for shipment.Late Jan 2024, *******************(Operations Manager) informed me that Blue Horizon shipping is not able to ship my vehicle. I then requested for the tires to be returned to ************* (no use for them in ******* without the car) and to ship my household goods on next possible vessel. I was informed on Feb 26, 2024 that the shipment was put in a 20ft container and sailed. On Mar 18, 2024, ***** informed me that I would be receiving a credit of $3928, which I dispute. Per the quote from ******** in Sept 2023, a 20ft container costs $13,295+$950=$14,245. I paid $19,635. The credit should therefore be $19,635-$14,425=$5,210. I am not paying for returning the tires back to ************* and the additional storage costs since they are consequences of Blue Horizon not able to fulfill its part of the agreement ie. ship my car to *******. I am already bearing additional costs of ~$15,000 for an additional month of furnished rental and for buying a new car here in *******. I have repeatedly asked Blue Horizon Shipping for a refund of $5210 without success.
