Tested positive for Covid day before sailing, which was a Sunday, with fever and symptoms. We called Celebrity and rep told us we needed to have our Travel agent call regarding a refund or future cruise credit. Travel agent called and sent test results, note from doctor and copy of Paxlovid rx, which doctor is not allowed to prescribe unless patient is positive with Covid.We got NOTHING from Celebrity. I guess passengers can just go ahead and board with COVID cause they will do nothing for you if you do the PROPER thing and quarantine!! How bad is THAT for all the other healthy passengers on board! Or worse, healthy passengers with underlying health conditions!We have sailed with Celebrity 3 times before missing this one and will NEVER sail with Celebrity and any other cruise line that Royal Caribbean owns. I bought the cruise for ********* on march 26th **** with my brother in-law and they upgraded for veranda for $512 on the same cruise and when I want upgrade for the same cabin they want $1064 because I'm ******** resident so I think it's not ****** to do it's a rasizm they can't explain why they charge more me than my family members it's been hours on phone with them no one can explain to me why I'm willing even pay them more than promotion is nowReview from Laura W

Bait and switch!!! There should be a class action lawsuit against this company. Same thing happen to me as several people below. I am not a first time cruiser or traveler. However, this is the first time in my over 50 year of traveling I have EVER had this issue. I booked a cruise online on Jan. 6, ****. As always I reviewed everything as well as all policies. I did think it was odd that the hold ****** deposit was so high but proceeded as was under the impression that ther would not be a problem getting refund. Two days later after researching flights I tried calling customer service and could not get through. The next day, day three, Jan 9, ****, I called and asked for a cancelation and refund. I was shocked when they told me yes but I would loss my 900!!! Or I could change my itenary for the price of $200. This is highway robbery. According to the Consumer Protection Act a nonrefundable deposit is supposed to be reasonable first off. Secondly, the consumer is to be aware.There is so much wrong here!!!Also upon my multiple calls and emails: policies changed each time. It was extremely confusing. Emails are not answered and I do not believe anyone truly knows the policy. The answer is just No and they will not flex. I have never worked with a company like this before.Please investigate this company as they are not concerned with their consumers and are taking peoples money.Review from Debra L

Celebrity Apex October 16-October 26 2023. ****** and ********************* State room 127.Our 1st time cruising celebrity for our 30 year anniversary recommended by **** and *********************** who use Celebrity often.Ship was beautiful and we were happy with our room and service for the 1st 5 days. Feeling ill went to doctors office. We felt it was right thing to do. We were both diagnosed with Covid which was devastating but knew it was a possibility and quarantined to our room for remainder of our trip. 1st we were given a letter saying we would get a refund for days in isolation. I understand wanting to be safe but hardly anyone wore any PPE while coming to our room. We were asked if we wanted to go on this cruise because ****** and ***** were cancelled and they offered us another time to go but we really wanted to go since I was diagnosed with cancer and had my last treatment in December. They offered us free Wi-Fi but wouldnt refund my husband his 5 days while in isolation. We had to ask for cleaning stuff for our room; and when we got some stuff it was all dried out. It was so heartbreaking to get sick on this cruise that has been booked over a year. We tried our best to comply and make the best out of a horrible situation. On our last night our assigned concierge called to tell us we could disembark a little later and enjoy breakfast down at buffet and take our time enjoying our last couple hours on board. She also told us we would be credited the money for days in isolation which was disappointing since letter stated we would be refunded. Later someone from gangway called us and told us ****** port rules stated we had to disembark at 6:00AM and we had to use a special taxi for 185 Euro and pay cash to go from port to hotel; which cost 25 euro upon arrival to port. We received a letter from the ships doctors stating that we were clear to travel after 6 days in isolation. We felt we were taken advantage. This was unacceptable.Review from Juliana O

My recent cruise aboard the Celebrity Summit, departing from Miami on 10/30-11/4, was nothing short of a colossal disappointment. The ship's staff displayed a staggering level of rudeness that left me feeling utterly unwanted. Conversations with them were met with blatant indifference, as if my presence was an inconvenience. Guest relations, supposedly there to assist, were utterly inept. They never once proffered solutions, consistently fumbling my requests. The buffet staff took condescension to a new level, their demeanor nasty and unhelpful. The anticipation of a luxurious Celebrity experience was crushed, replaced with an overwhelming sense of belittlement. It became painfully apparent that they cater exclusively to retreat-class clients, leaving the rest of us feeling like second-class citizens. Even as a frequent cruiser, I wouldn't recommend Celebrity to my worst enemy. The manager at guest relations , in particular, seemed perpetually bothered by my inquiries. In summary, steer clear of Celebrity unless you relish the notion of being treated like a lower-class passenger.Review from Debra B

BEWARE!!! THIEVES!!! This company does a 'Bait and Switch'. We booked a cruise on October 4, 2023, with a $500 downpayment. We read the instructions and the cancellation policy. It stated we could cancel before the final payment date, November 27, 2023. It said we would be refunded 100% before that date. After we researched the prices for everything, we decided to cancel because they are charging for everything and it was economical. I called to cancel only to be told there were 2 different rates. The more expensive rate was refundable. The less expensive rate was nonrefundable. We booked on their website and it did not show 2 different sale prices as they stated. Then they said it was only refundable within a 24-hour period. Neither of these was stated at the time of booking. Now they want to keep our $500. Then they stated that we could change the date, but there would be a $100 change fee. It said that we could cancel before the final payment date and get 100% refunded, which is the reason we booked in the first place. Companies shouldn't be allowed to take money from customers after deceiving them into a price. This was pure deception!Review from Pasqualino P

Was scammed out of Delta eCredits. My wife and I booked a cruise with Celebrity last year that was canceled. After it was cancelled they issued us a full refund for the American Airlines flight, but were given eCredits for Delta. They specifically told us we had one year to use the credits and could book directly through Delta. Last night we tried to book new flights and when ***** looked up the eCredits they said they saw the credits were unused, but celebrity did not list the amount. Today I called Celebrity and spoke with a representative who first lied and said the only way you can use the delta credits is is you book a new cruise (lie) then after putting me one hold came back and admitted it wasn't true. Then she said the only way you can use the credits is if we agree to book the flights through them. She's essentially trying to extort us. We are very disappointed that celebrity would do this to their travelers and it's extremely shady business tactics.Review from Deborah F

Disappointed, We paid good money over ******** for this cruise, Our Reservation # *******, We have been on other cruises and where so excited about going on the Reflection what a Big Disappointment, The food was like left over for seven days, in the buffet, I have a picture of where there bacon was in nothing but grease and they didn't even drain it off before putting it out. Some of the buffet stations had boxes and bags of pasta on them I guess for looks, They served Chicken and taco for seven days, you could get grill steak or pork chops they where so dry no good at all, The only food that was worth eating was there hotdogs and hamburgers on deck 15, The main Dining we order there steak with mash potatoes they gave you a teaspoon of mash potatoes. That food was nothing to brag about. So we paid over ******** for hamburgers and hot dogs, We had people that said it was their first time cruise and would never go again, We have been on other cruise line and never did we want to get off a boat but this one we couldn't wait, They where under staff, the only service that was good was our Cabin *******. We paid for everything before we cruised and they still try to charge us Gratuity, I had to go and ask them to remove it twice, even after I showed them I paid for it. Just so you know we also tip on top of paying Gratuity. They would close a lot of there bars by 8pm you would have to walk to the other end of the boat if you wanted a drink and then you would lose your table, Bought the Alcohol drink package went to order ice tea and was told we would get a 6 dollar up charge. I am not a drinker but if someone in your cabin pays for it, you have to purchase it also, ********** station in the buffet they had other ones but they where not open! the boat rock and vibrated the hole time did not matter where you where on the boat, seas where not rough. My name is ******* and I am writing this review to express my frustration and utter disgust with Celebrity Cruise's customer service. My wife (*****) and I were aboard the Celebrity Silhouette ship from February 9th to February 14th. Honestly, before we boarded the ship my wife was not feeling well. But things took a drastic change for the worse that same night. As a result of that, I picked up the phone inside of our cabin and called for help as my wife was having shortness of breath and could barely walk. To my surprise, when I call the medical ****, they showed no concern whatsoever to my wife's health and was only focused on informing me that there was a $150 fee associated with my wife seeing the medical staff on the ship. In addition to that, they wanted my wife to come to the medical **** although I've clearly expressed to them that she couldn't walk. All they seemed to care about was MONEY. My wife ended up in the medical **** and remained there for observation due to her hypertension and shortness of breath for 2 nights ONLY. On Saturday morning, once we reached *******, **, we were disembarked, and my wife was taken to the closest ER as the doctors aboard Celebrity Cruise didn't have the necessary medical equipment to run more tests (I totally understood that). Before leaving the ship, I was informed that I needed to see one of their customer service agents. To my surprise, I was presented with a bill of $15,436.85 only for 2 nights and I was presented with a promissory note to pay her medical expenses. Concerned about my wife's health, I glanced at the note and signed off the note. The full amount was later withdrawn from my **** of America checking account. The dilemma that I'm now facing is that I was never given an "itemized bill" for all the medical services that they provided my wife with while she was aboard that ship. And, in order for me to get reimbursed these $15,436.85 from my medical insurance. I've been calling their customer service sinceReview from Nick K

We paid for the upgraded packages but were then charged for all of the services that should have been included on TOP of the package charges. Called 3 times and were told theyd be refunded but nothing ever happened. Tired of calling them with no results.
