Rude managers, some very incompetent employees. Only one was efficient and educated. Save yourself headaches. Do not do business with this bank.

The company has a Practice of taking up to three weeks to process a payment thats resulting in two months worth of interest charges based on the percentage charged.

Un servicio pésimo. Tengo una tarjeta de credito con dicho banco desde hace mas de 8 años. Al inicio me dieron 75,000 millas las cuales supuestamente no expiraban. Después de usar esa tarjeta por ese tiempo y tener que finalmente tener que usar esas millas de emergencia (las cuales se suponen que hayan sido mas por usar la tarjeta por tanto tiempo y sin redimir las millas) me dicen que tengo menos de 9,000 millas. Les pido que me comuniquen con un supervisor y me indican que no hay ninguno, luego les pido que por favor alguien que me pueda ayudar me llame para ayudar con mi inseguridad de por qué tan pocas millas. Dos semanas pasan y ninguna llamada. Les escribo un email… Ninguna respuesta! Puedo dar 3 razones mas por la cual este banco es un chiste pero no vale la pena al igual que yo no valgo la pena para este banco!

The worst bank, before you start telling what's that you need is a NO. They aren't interested in helping you, they just take the calls after 60 min. wait or longer, just to say NO to whatever you need. By far the WORST BANK IN PR. Tanya M Bonnin

Banco Popular de Puerto Rico is holding a credit balance on my account since 9/7/2021. Had to call several times to resolve the issue and each time the call wait times are almost 30 minutes to an hour. Tired of working with them and would like to leave a review here. 1 star

We all know banks can lend or approve credit of whomever they wish, based on specific unarbitrary and capricious criterion...but hey BPPR as gone too far with its request of third person personnel sensitive information.  They have a particular monopoly on a specific product,  which they often advertise but make it almost impossible to get.  How is it possible that clients conducting business with this institution for over 40 years with an outstanding credit score of over 700 (close to 800) be denied this product claiming it is bank policy and with out further explanation?  We feel those officials in charge of performing approvals are abusing by applying extreme criterion to this particular product. We have never been submit to such extreme scrutiny nor such a simplistic unexplained denial.  It seems having an  EXCELLENT credit score is not suffice for BPPR and want to hoard-up these benefits this product provide.  The Banco Popular - Jetblue liaison is a **** for those if us attempting to aquire it.  This is plainly false advertising when it come to dealing with arrogant and snobbish agents.
