    Mc *** plumbing was contacted about replacing an old toilet shut-off valve. I asked them for a rough estimate over the phone. They told me a couple dollars per minute plus parts. No appointment was made, they told me they'd call when they were available.On June 17 2022, they called, the plumber met me and he was in and out in under 30 minutes. On July 7 2022, I opened a **** that included the parts ($13.25), and labor (27 minutes, $54) for a subtotal of $67.25. However, there was also a "Flat fee" included in the **** for $40, bringing the the total to $107.25 (without tax).I called ******** to ask for an explanation about the $40 flat fee, which had not been mentioned when inquiring about their service rates over the phone. They told me it was a standard charge for all house calls they make. Well that *** be the case, however, my principle complaint is that failing to disclose that fee prior to service is at least unethical, if not fraudulent. Having hired them after giving the lowest estimate, their price became the highest after a surprise $40 "flat fee."I spoke to ******** management personnel, whom did not identify themselves, and explained that I thought it was unfair to ask me to pay the $40 flat fee, after it had not been disclosed during the hiring process. I then offered to pay $25 of the $40 fee, giving the benefit of the doubt to miscommunication. The management personnel rejected my offer and told me I would be reported to a collection agency if I refused to pay the full amount. Today is July 7 2022, the same day I opened the **** and and attempted to speak with ******** management personnel. I am writing a check and sending it in the mail for the full amount of $115.62 (includes $8.37 in WA sales tax). I would request that ******** please refund me the full $40 "flat fee," and disclose this fee to all potential customers in the future.

    We had ***** and his apprentice here for two days to fix a double leak in our condo bathroom. It was a botched job done less than 3 years ago by our installer. The fix was difficult and required ingenuity, patience and skill. Thanks to our professional, the leak is fixed with no damage to our condo and a careful clean up of the unit below us. Thank you *****!
