    Lack of communication between American Home Shield and Heat and Cool of Idaho and we as the consumer. We were not made aware of additional non covered costs amounting to $200.00 until I received an emailed invoice 10 days after installation of a new furnace. We were only informed of $140.00 due upon installation which we paid. We were also not notified by Heat and Cool of Idaho when the installation of our furnace was scheduled and they just showed up, a call would have been nice. I didn't feel we should have to pay for charges we were not informed of and communicated this to Heat and Cool of Idaho as well as AHS. I was told they did what they were supposed to and would contact AHS. Several days past and no return phone call. I emailed them asking to respond. They emailed back the next day, highlighting they would lien the property and will incur finance charges if we do not pay within 30 and 60 days. They also stained and soaked the carpet when removing the old furnace and said nothing. They also damaged the hard wood floor from the use of a dolly. I do NOT recommend this company, very unprofessional and bad business practices.

    Communication with customer throughout the whole process. Customer has a third party warranty company that covered the cost of the majority furnace replacement. The furnace had a crack in the secondary heat exchanger which is the portion of the unit that separates the remaining heat from the exhaust gases, in which a byproduct of this process is condensate (water). The unit had a crack in the heat exchanger which leaked water and this is the source of the water, there is a process with the warranty company that takes time, as part of the warranty that she has there are things that are covered, and things that are not covered. The things that were not covered by the particular plan that she has were billed out at a discounted contractor rate, there was no communication about the invoice that was emailed on 1/6/2022 and the our office staff made contact 1/10/2022 about the invoice. The customer originally paid $140 during installation, throughout the communication the customer was charged $340 for her portion of the services. The customer made her final payment on 1/26/2022. The last item of concern was damage to a hard wood floor from a dolly, throughout all of the communications with this customer there was no verbal or emailed complaints about the carpet or the hardwood that she is now claiming. This was not made aware to us at the time of installation and only came up upon having to pay the **** 21 days after services were provided. The dolly's that we use have rubber tires that are "non marking" which means that they are soft enough not to damage surfaces and will not leave a ****.
