  • In September 2006 Winchester Production Company was investigated by the BBB due to concerns from an individual within a homeonwers association. The company had an independent contractor canvassing in their area offering to purchase mineral and royalty rights from the areas homeowners. Some homeowners signed for the money without fully understanding what they were signing. The BBB found that after the purchase they would set up pipelines and oil pumping rigs on approximately three acres and obtain the minerals from their lands. The areas in questions would have oil rigs, heavy truck movement and environmental issues. Before signing over your mineral or royalty rights you should inquire as to the environmental concern and distraction to the area. This company is a legal and registered company in good standing.
