    I was in an accident on April 22, 2022 by an individual that pulled out in front of me and totaled the only vehicle that I have that's used for my home health job as a respiratory Therapist and obviously for personal use as well. I contacted Lakeside Ford a day or two after the wreck in reference to purchase a vehicle from them and we were able to get a 2021 Jeep Renegade and the process worked but I must say the individuals working there do have attitudes that customers really don't need to see. I've been in the vehicle for a couple of weeks now and today as I was working it started driving rough and I pulled over and noticed some smoke coming from under the hood and I raised the hood up and the smoke was gone but I did notice a burning plastic type smell and I thought that I needed to get it back to where I bought it from and have them look at it since I just purchased it from them and when I started driving I noticed that the air conditioner was not working and I took it to the dealership and after several hours of waiting I was told that the air compressor needed to be replaced and it was $3500.00 to repair and that I had to pay for it and I was very upset about this because I just bought it from them. I don't understand why I would have to pay for this considering that I just purchased the vehicle. I don't have the money like that for a part on a new vehicle that seems that they would replace. Now they are trying to put me into another vehicle but I personally think they should be investigated on these type of flaws. Please educate me on this matter.

    We bought a car from Lakeside Ford in June 2020. When we purchased our expedition, we traded in an our ford explorer. The proper paperwork never got turned in and a result is the Office of Motor Vehicles flagged my license for a "Lapse of Insurance" for a vehicle I did not own. The paperwork was for my license plate. So the tile is still in my name currently (April 2024). This is not a small fee, I paid over $650 to get my license cleared. The Dealership will not return my phone calls, email and has not made any effort to resolve this problem for me in over a month. I have contacted the owner, the general manager, the employee handing the tax/liens and shocker no one has reached out. We loved our experience at this dealership until we learned about this situation. I have been patient, calling and leaving a message but this has been handled very unprofessional and speaks volumes about how they treat people. Mistakes happen, I understand that, but management should have called back and treated me with some respect and talked to me instead of ignoring me. My family had to pay for someones else's mistake and its not fair, and thought I should make people aware of this before purchasing a vehicle from a dealership that does not follow through on important documents and then can not provide them when you ask for them. As well, as ignores you when you bring up a mistake as they think it will go away. Again, very unprofessional and never dealt with this with any other dealership we have ever bought a car from.
