Better Business Bureau serving San Diego, Orange and Imperial Counties advises against a recent ransomware attack that occurred Friday, May 12th . According to preliminary reports, ransomware is infesting the computers of thousands worldwide. This software holds computer systems hostage, demanding payment in return for access. With email serving as the primary form of entry, this attack is tainting Microsoft Windows and spreading through networks despite the repair issued in March.
