    On 9/22/22 I made a reservation on behalf of *********************** thru Priceline #*********** for $77.97 after speaking to desk clerk at ************ regarding deposit that it would be $100 cash or $50 credit. She did not tell me that I would have to pay $50 on credit card in person. **** did not have $100 cash, and so I called to pay by credit card and was told at that time that I would have to come in person to register and pay the deposit at the counter. There was not free cancellation so I drove there (100 miles) to register and paid the $50. **** was present at the registration desk, but he ended up leaving and not staying at all. I believe the room # was 407. While there I met who I assume was another guest being that he was on the 4th floor of the hotel and he and I chatted. He was not my guest, but a guest of the hotel in another room on the 4th floor. I checked out the morning of 9/23/22 before 11 am without incidence. I later discovered a charge for $50 and a charge for $200 on my credit card 9/26/22. I first called the ************ and after 30 minutes on hold I called the hotel at ************ and spoke with Zny. She informed me the charges were for smoking outside on the premises, to which I told her I was not a part of and they must be mistaken. No one called my room to investigate or confirm that it was a guest associated with my room. I insist they made a mistake to which they refuse to acknowledge or refund those charges. She also would not confirm my room number saying I wasn't the registered guest even though I paid for room reservation, registered my drivers license and paid deposit and was given room keys. I also called customer care at ************, but they were not able to answer calls at this time "try again later" I repeatedly received the same message. I am requesting a refund of the deposit $50 and additional $200 charged in error for smoking outside. Total refund $250
