My husband and I hired Attic Construction to do full attic restoration for us at our home. To be specific this would include the following services.- Removal of Insulation - $2000 - job completed - Mar 17, 2021 - Removal of Debris - incl. in $2000 - job completed - Rodent Proofing - incl. in $2000 - job completed - Sanitation - incl. in $2000 - job completed - Blow new insulation - not completed. had contacted them to come complete the job. - Install exhaust fan in the bathroom - $500 job completed - Mar 17, 2021 After they came and completed the removal of the old insulation and the installation of the bathroom fan we had to put a pause on having them come to blow the new insulation. We were simultaneously having other construction done and needed to do some things before they were to finalize that. They were fine to pause, and we decided to add some tasks on to the job. We would have paid them an additional $860. Luckily we did not actually proceed with payment. My husband emailed them and they never responded to us to confirm the changes and to proceed. Our personal lives got very busy, and a lot of time had passed, and we went to contact them again to find out that they had just gone out of business. I have made multiple messages out to the owners. I have not received any responses. I spoke with another Attic Construction company and they explained that I was not the only customer to have this issue. They are different businesses so no connection to the past owners. We would of course just want to finish the job but I imagine they are incapable of preforming the tasks then a refund of the incomplete aspect of the job would be appropriate.
