Do not go to these people first if you have an electrical issue. Spent too much money on troubleshooting three times and was discovered nothing was wrong internally in the house. The initial troubleshooting fee was inflated and I had to pay for no fix on their end. Found out the issue was with the line connecting the house to the powerlines externally. Call SDG&E first, it is free for them to check your panel if you are having power loss issues. These people charged me $500 and three wasted day for nothing on their end. Any reputable electrician should have spotted the power loss in the panel right off the bat instead of continuing to troubleshoot things not related, giving us a false sense to have to pay more money to fix the issue.Point Loma Electric & Plumbing Response

I am a senior. I had an Emergency Sub panel situation created because of aluminum wiring. Point Loma Electric charged ****** for ******* permit. My sub panel was installed without putting my wall heater on a separate circuit in sub panel. Follow up visit they will charge additional ******. this is price gouging a customer in an emergency. Thank you for sharing your concerns (on multiple websites). I am very sorry to hear that you have experienced issues with your wall heater. We did go out and evaluate it and confirmed that the unit was receiving power. It is highly unlikely that the sub panel we replaced was the cause of issues with your wall heater and unfortunately we do not repair appliances such as wall heaters. We did not run any new circuits in your home, we only replaced the sub panel which had burned inside. All existing circuits would have remained as they were before the work was done. they were great up until my agreed upon appointment today at noon. I received a call at 12:35pm telling me that their guy was tied up and they needed to reschedule for Tuesday. this is a charging port for my electric car, so i needed it today, not tuesday so disappointed since i took the day off of work and was sitting in my garage waiting on them we just dont have good service anymore they just want good reviews. i called Faraday Electric and they are coming out tomorrowPoint Loma Electric & Plumbing Response

************************* was an excellent technician to lead his crew for work on replacement of our electrical panel, and upgrading our kitchen electrical needs. He was flexible in timeframe for my scheduling needs, kind and followed through on all his work plans initially discussed with us. For electrical upgrades, it would be hard to beat Lalo and his team at Point Loma Electric and Plumbing. I presented a rather large number of tasks, and he efficiently ticked off each job, accepting each challenge as a privilege. Lalo made sure I was happy with every aspect, particularly the finishing work which was done beautifully. He really went above and beyond. Great service by the two *******--**** and, sorry do not know the last name of the other *****.I had to be away part of the time that they were at my home but felt confident that the work would be completed as planned, and, it was I had a friend ride "shotgun" just in case there would be a question and I could not be contacted as I do NOT keep my cell phone turned on--use it to MAKE calls.. And, I would gladly recommend Pt. Loma Electric and Plumbing to family and friends--have already done so for one friend.Review from Auntwanette W

I am the biggest skeptic and I don't trust workers - nowadays people do sloppy work because they know you as a homeowner don't know exactly what a home needs and then they expect you to pay through the nose. Not this company, they are amazing. Everyone I've come in contact with has been professional and has worked hard. I will recommend them to anyone who asks me.Review from robert b

I contacted Point Loma electric about a perceived problem with some work they had done for me. When ***** arrived he was very solicitous and patient explaining I wasnt aware of my reostat component. His was a delightful attitude. If I ever have a real problem, I hope ************************* is assigned.
