I was recently locked out of my account pending a review without any explanation. They said they had sent an email regarding the issue but the email simply said what I previously stated without any reason or timeline provided. When I called to rectify the issue I was told that there is nothing that can be done and I must simply wait. This will inevitably cause me to incur late fees on unpaid bills that I would have and should have been able to pay if not for Axos Banks terrible business practices.

I have been a customer since 1998 and am advising you to AVOID this bank. I opened a Home Equity Line of Credit and was required to withdraw $50,000 immediately, even though I wasn't ready to spend the money. I was told I could pay the money back to bring the balance to $0 and avoid interest charges. Sounds simple, right? Wrong! Despite paying the FULL payoff amount, I continue to incur interest charges each month because I have to pay interest on the interest charges. The only balance on the account was interest, which I paid off in full. But, because I had interest charges for at least a day, I have to pay interest on that interest. It never ends. I made a HUGE mistake using Axos for this loan. I have NEVER experienced anything like this in all my years of having loans. I no longer trust this bank and am not only closing my HELOC, but also pulling all my money out of the bank. I had to give 1 star, but in reality, they deserve 0 stars.

This company is nothing but a loan shark. Worst financial decision I ever made doing business with them. I refinanced my car loan with them in 2022, for a lower interest rate. My balance never went down, felt like I was incuring more interest than intended. Even when I was late on a payment, which was not always by much, the interest was still between $300-$400. Barely anything going to the principal. I recently faced a financial hardship with a reduction to my income. I asked for options on payments arrangements many, many times and every agent I spoke to always had some BS excuse as to why they don't offer it. I'm talking payment arrangements or an extension, deferment, lowering my payments, split payment. This is why banks have such a bad rapport...they are clearly all about collecting the check. They don't care about people and have such a lack of empathy for others, it's sad. Unfortunately, I had to surrender my car because I lost my job and got too behind on the payments. However, the car was only worth like $3,000. Meanwhile, my balance still remained at $16K and I've had the car since 2020. LOAN SHARKS and this company is bad for business. Plus the towing company that took my car is just as bad and I can see why I Axos has poor reviews. Please take your money elsewhere.

This bank is terrible. They lack common features like connections to Venmo or PayPal, so you cannot use your money through convenient methods, and their support is the worst I've ever dealt with. Once, a wire transfer was lost, and the bank that was supposed to receive it put me in touch with their wire transfer department who, in trying to help me, told me to reach out to Axos' wire transfer department, and it could be easily straightened out. However, Axos does not allow you to talk to anyone but the front-line support, and all they said they could do was leave that department a message because they "don't talk to customers". After a day of not getting any response and frantically worrying that a large sum of money had disappeared, I did some internet sleuthing to find a number for the bank president, which turned out to be his personal cell, and he had it fixed in an hour. Recently, I started receiving an error message when logging in that the process had timed out. I let their support know that I had tried multiple browsers, computers, and phones and had the same error message. They insisted it was a browser issue and wanted me to clear my cache and history. Even though common sense says that's not the problem, I did it anyway, and sure enough, it was the same problem. They told me they couldn't help me then; I had to email a screenshot to an email address showing the error, which I could easily just give them over chat; they don't need to actually see it in a screenshot. However, now I am stuck waiting on an answer via an apparent email black hole. No response to let me know they received it and are working on the issue, so no idea if anything is actually being done. Stay away from this bank if you value your money and time.

I have tried for almost a month to withdraw my *** starting with the *** ********** form and instructions for the deposit of the funds sent via certified mail.I have spoken to 4 different foreign speaking agents who have promised emails and deposits none of which I have received. The answer is "It's in the process. It will be resolved in 1-2 business days." AXOS is total b.s.I even sent a letter of complaint to them.I can see that ***** has easy access to loans from this bank.I am so sorry that I ever agreed to hook up eith them upon the advice of H&R Block.

I banked with Axos for over two years. I started with a basic checking account and ended up moving my savings with them. Initially, I was impressed with the idea of a fully online bank and the convenience it offered. I was so impressed that I eventually opened an investment portfolio through Axos and began planning for my financial future with them in mind. This seemed like a smart move, as Id consistently maintained a five-figure balance and it seemed like a logical choice to try and grow my money through my tried and trusted financial institution.Several days after opening my investment portfolio and transferring startup funds into my account, I received an email from Axos informing me that they intended to close all of my accounts within thirty days, citing that, per their deposit agreement, they could opt to close any account for any reason at any time. Its worth noting at this point that I had maintained a healthy balance and a good credit score during my time banking with Axos.Customer support was incredibly unhelpful and could furnish no reason to justify their radical and sudden decision. To date, no one has explained to me the rationale behind, or attempted to apologize for the inconvenience incurred by choosing to close my accounts.Avoid them at all costs. I regret entrusting them with even a single dollar of my assets.

My full SSN was sent by ******************* of Axos Bank in an encrypted PDF to an unverified email address that is not mine. I tried to notify their compliance department, have left several messages, and haven't received any follow-up from any one in their compliance department. I reached out to senior executives on many channels. Most messages have been ignored. One reply promised that the application would be deleted from their system but I've never heard from them again and that email address continues to receive follow-up about that application.

They do give you interest on your checking account, but they also hold all ACH deposits for seven business days, which is excessive in the modern world. They say this hold time is only for the first thirty days after you open your account, but I've had an account here for over two years, and they still hold all *********** for 7 business days. They claim this is because "you might call your bank and have the transfer reversed or blocked," but my other bank processes funds for a check or other transfer within 24 hours. Consequently, it appears Axos is merely holding onto the money for at least five days, presumably placing it in a sweep account from which they earn interest. I've complained about this seven-day policy repeatedly, but to no avail. Their only answer is "we must follow our process." On occasion, they have promised to shorten the delay, but--surprisingly, somehow--the funds clear on the originally stated date.I have had to pass a lot of money through this account for a house purchase--the only way to get your money out of your account quickly is through a wire transfer. Straight withdrawals appear to be "metered."Their website and app are riddled with constant errors of various kinds, and the "Evo" feature is completely useless. There is a way to get help, but you must navigate the menus correctly, or you will be responded to by Evo.Overall, this is a terrible bankI regret ever opening an account there, and I am closing it as soon as it is practically possible.

My advice to anyone is to stay away from this bank. They are incompetent and cannot be trusted with your money.I am the treasurer of a nonprofit professional society. We opened two business accounts with Axos about a year ago. There have been many delays and frustrations, but two issues in particular should be absolute show-stoppers for anyone considering this bank.First issue: When I opened the first account with Axos, there was a secure site for entering my personal information. When we opened the second account, our relationship manager asked the applicants to send their personal information by email. We asked about encryption, and he responded, Oh, this is secure. Oh, no, it isnt! No bank should ever ask anyone to send personal information by email! Eventually, because we insisted, we transmitted the information in a different way that was secure. But only because we insisted. Second issue: I have access to one of our organizations accounts, and another person has access to the other account. Neither of us is authorized to access the others accounts. On several occasions, when one of us has sent a check or made a transfer, Axos incorrectly charged the expense against the other account the account to which the ******************* should not have access! How can a bank stay in business when it is allowing withdrawals against an account by a person who does not have access to that account?
