Description

I was approached by text message for a remote job that is supposed to be application optimization for Gong. At first they provided training and just asked me to complete tasks including pressing a button that supposedly gave apps 5 stars in the App Store. Sometimes you would encounter a “lucky” order in which the amount of funds exceeded what was in the “bank” so to speak. You were then expected to add funds out of your own bank account in order to complete this order but then you gained higher commission. If you completed 4 days of this you got a $700 bonus or what they called “salary.” Every day they make you pay 50 to work, and you get it back after you finish working. On the first day, they gave me $50 to "get started". My advice is to take this 50 and run. I think they try to gain your trust and then take advantage. As I read from the other post, the scam really doesn't take the initiative until the 4th day. Remember that after 4 days of making some money, you are told you will be rewarded $700. Then that's when they try to get a return on the money they have invested in you. They also added me to a 60-person group chat on WhatsApp and gave me a "personal assistant". I emailed the real company Gong.io, and I'm waiting for a response. I technically gained 50 from this scam because I got out before I got scammed but I wouldn't even chance it.
