I was contacted via text about a job opportunity that, I was told I would be a good fit for. We been correspondence via text, email, and Microsoft Teams. I had a virtual interview that took place by chat on Teams. I was them offered a position as a data entry person. Next I shared direct deposit information. Then u was sent a check to be deposited for the purpose of purchasing equipment. Both mobile and in person deposit attempts were denied. I was told by the teller the check was washed, and invalid. I subsequently lost the privilege of mobile check deposited at my bank.
