I was contacted thru email; they sent a letter head requesting an interview. They included a signed letter and letter head for TMF Group signed by Juliana Silva who stated they received my resume off Ziprecruiter. The position was for Remote Data Entry Job and the interview was to be given on teams. I can't remember the text number, but I was connected and asked multiple questions regarding the position and how soon I could start. I was told I would receive a check that I deposit to purchase my office equipment. They told me the same day that I was hired and sent a form to accept the job. The following few days they keep in touch to confirm the arrival of the check. On the day of the check, I was asked to verify the amount that was sent certified mail for 3,480.00/ I was told to deposit it and notify them when completed. Luckily, I have a credit union who held the check for 7-14 business day to verify its accurate and in that time frame I was notified the check seemed to be fraudulent and that the account had closed 2 years prior.
