Description

I received a text message to my cell phone from the number 516-869-3952. The text reads: Hello, I am Erica Jones recruiter from the firm Orion Healthcare Technology. Our team reviewed your resume posted on Indeed for Data Entry Clerk ( Full Time/Part Time). You have been selected for and interview with us for the position. Reply Yes to indicate interest. Replied back Yes Erica proceeds to text this is an entirely work from home job offer, your salary is $30 per her during full working hours and $20 per hour during special training. Hope you will be fine working from home? That was red flag number one for me. I wanted to look more and research if this was legit or not which I knew it was not but I wanted to see what was going to be said. I replied back Yes interested. Erica then proceeds to reply back with get the Telegram messenger app download and add hiring manager Mr. Samir Mehta and sends a referral code J11HPSLJHMK as the interview verification code and interview session. Red flag number two was Telegram messenger ( who has an interview via typing?) Red flag number three was hiring manager being addressed as Mr. Samir Mehta. I do not have to say Mister if I do not want to. Well moving forward I already had telegram on my phone so I did not need to download it. Had back and forth interview conversation by typing. Fourth red flag asking what financial institution do you operate with as an interview question. Fifth red flag is when it was stated you will send me a check and I had to purchase equipment to do my job. Sixth red flag the email that comes from the fake HR manager with I9 forms for your to sign along with your offer letter but the catch was look at the email it was sent from. If you are a hiring manager the company name will be somewhere in your email not utilizing Gmail ([email protected]). See screenshot of text that starts everything. I do not like people that try to scam people or ruin a business name. I hope a STOP can be put to this.
