I made an appointment for an inspection. Because it was the height of winter, I was quoted $199 on the phone for inspection and cleaning. I was willing to pay a higher price because a storm was coming. When the man got to the house, he did nothing but glance at the fireplace -- did not even look up the chimney. He said that it would then be $499 to clean the chimney, which is WAY above market price. We said no, that we were quoted differently by the person taking our appointment. He immediately said, "ok, I will take $350." We again said no. He then demanded $199 for an inspection that he did not provide. He did not perform a Level 1 inspection as promised in order to ensure safety of the fireplace. So, we, thankfully did not pay. We asked him to leave, then he threw trash on our lawn on the way out. These people are obviously not professional and will take advantage of consumers. The website provides fake certifications and advertises Google review ratings that do not exist. They cannot even be found on Google. Their physical addresses are also fake. If they assert that they are inspectors, they could potentially cause a consumer to assume that their fireplace is safe. This is a safety concern. Please stop these scammers.
