The one star is coming from speaking with the same gentleman a week ago over the phone and he was really nice on the phone. We scheduled an estimate today between 10-11. The time has come and gone so I phone the office they say he's on his was so I wait. He comes at 1130 then proceeds to spend another 15 min on the phone in his vehicle. Upon coming to the door there is no hello it's just " I am so and so here to do your estimate" . Comes inside . I begin by asking him about the process and how it works and what my window would be if I could have everything dropped off by a specific day. He replies " This is not a taxi service which is what I think you think it is" . I didn't respond as I didn't know how to take that. Back story : I am a registered nurse and a single mom and sole provider for two very young girls I am making a long distance more to be closer to family support. This is a huge move for me. I work 60+ hours a week during a pandemic and today was my only day off this week. I don't live in the Mose up and coming neighbourhood and I don't rent the most luxurious of places. We then proceed he says he needs to know what is going to be packed and what is going along so I start by telling him. We get to the tv he asks if I have a box I say no I don't and he tells me where to get one and I ask " do I need to add anything to the box " his response " well no ... just the tv " I then follow up with " oh no I mean wrapping or protective wrapping ?" " he response " well no it comes with it " Ok fair enough so we move on Come to the kitchen - I'm taking this and this but no big appliances He response with a very judgemental condescending tone " no one ever takes those in a place like this " Alright now I'm getting a bit flustered and startling to feel upset this is my home . Coming to the end he asks for my email address My response " all lower case .... " and yes I know it's always lower case but I just have always responded with that followed by my email His response " yea they all are .. " before I even get to giving him my email address His overall domineer was irritable, condescending and with every question he appeared annoyed with me .
