BBB Advises Donors to be Cautious after the Devastating Flooding Caused by Hurricane Harvey.
Richmond, VA- After events like Hurricane Harvey BBB warns consumer to be on the look-out for questionable solicitations or wasting money on poorly managed relief efforts. “It is heartbreaking to see this kind of damage and people want to help where they can” says Olivia Smith, Communications Coordinator of BBBCV. “Donors need to be careful how they chose to donate so their gift is actually given to those most in need.” BBB and Wise Giving Alliance want communities to have the tools necessary to donate successfully in this time of need.
