      Sent wrong size replacement windows twice, replacements needed due to cloudy windows tech stayed its because of gas in side panes. When spoke with office they said could not find correct dimensions for my window even asked me if my windows are from window world. They have replaced this specific window multiple times but now cant find correct dimensions, and now question my veracity.Window World breached contract with me.

      ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!! INSTALLED PATIO DOORS WITHOUT A LOCK ON THEM. STILL WAITING TO BE ABLE TO LOCK MY DOORS. CALLED OFFICE 4 TIMES TO TALK TO SOMEONE. ******* (**** AS HELL) FINALLY CALLED ME BACK AND GAVE ME A LONG LIST OF WHY SHE HAD NOT CALLED ME BACK AND WHY I STILL CANNOT LOCK MY DOOR. SHE THEN WENT ON TO TELL ME I HAVE TO WAIY=T ANOTHER WEEK TO GET THE NEW LOCK INSTALLED. WHEN I COMPLAINED SHE STARTED GOING BACK AT ME FOR HER MISTAKES.BOTTOM LINEDO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR BUSINESS OR YOUR MONEY!!!!!

      I have recommended Window World many times to anyone interested.They replaced all the windows in my kids' house 14 years ago which was great. So I had them replace all the windows in my house, wrap the exterior trim and install a basement exterior door 8 years ago. That was also great so I had them replace another exterior door 4 years ago.When JES came and disrupted my foundation, the 8 year old basement door was no longer functioning properly. I called Window World to rehang the door, expecting to incur that cost. They came and did that but they refused to charge me.*********. Great company!

      Beware when contracting with Window World of Richmond, especially beware of their contract, and when final payment is due. Several years ago we contracted with Window World to replace windows. We were very happy with the product and the service, so when we needed to replace the siding, we contacted them again. We signed a contract and paid the down payment using a credit card. The project did not get off to a good start. After waiting for 3 months to begin, the crew to do the install arrived before the materials. When the installation did begin the last week of June, the crew threw cigarette butts all over the property, and when they completed the job, they left large quantities of excess siding and fanfold in the driveway. There were also nails, and the cigarette butts all over. It took several phone calls before someone came out 2 weeks later to pick up the excess materials. We also discovered that the siding was installed over the top of the crawl space door, preventing the door from opening. We had to take the door off the hinges, saw off the top, and reframe the top portion so that the door would fit. The new light fixtures that were supposed to have been installed by the front and back door were not done until mid-July. To our surprise we found out that Window World had charged our credit card for final payment on July 1long before the job was complete, WITHOUT NOTIFICATION, INVOICE, OR APPROVAL FROM US. When we questioned this, we were told that final payment was due at installation, not completion of the job. Page 1 of our contract states that final payment is due after install; page 2 notes that Payment for work completed is due at installation. Apparently our understanding of work completed is different than Window Worlds. On a positive note, they did concede that a mistake was made and that they would retrain staff; the siding itself appears to have been installed correctly and we are satisfied with both the material and workmanship.

      The name Gabby, Caitlin and Ashley who answer and run the Richmond location for window world are amongst the rudest people I have had to do business with. I am flabbergasted that this is first line communication for this office. I am dumbfounded Ashley the manager would keep saying 'let me remind you' and stating my account was in collections for work still yet completed. You don't get the treatment advertised for sure!

      Called to have a cloudy window replaced (original install 2006) and were given an appointment for service. Installer was a no show, so rescheduled and were given a 4 hour window for the tech to be at our home. 2 hours into that window we received a call that the tech was too busy and wouldn't make it that day. A new appointment was made and we called to confirm the time and were told the tech was out ill and they were not sure if someone would come or not. Well, a "manager" , Bill S. showed up and replaced the window but it would not lock. He adjusted the lock and got it to work BUT the weather strip on part of the window was not in the frame. As their manager he explained he would get a crew and set an appointment for the frame adjustment of 6-8 inches of the frame to be dropped to make that corner level with the rest of the frame. 3 days later I called the office and Heather told me the repair was not a warranty item as the one corner was due to my 110 yo home "settling". Strange that the settling is only in that 6-8" area, but she "knew" more than a structural engineer who told us the house was sound. In reviewing the WW warranty it stated that "any window installed by the company is free from defects in material or workmanship as long as the owner resides in the home." I was told that the repair could be made if I paid $****** to cover the crews cost. Evidently a lifetime warranty does not mean what it use to. I agree with the other posts that these people lie, are combative, and out right frauds. I would never do business with them and regret I have ever recommended them to any of my friends. Please do yourself a big favor and look for another company to do your work, you will thank yourself in the long term.

      Zero stars, unfortunately zero is not an option to leave a review, so I checked one star. Terrible experience. I would not use them again and would not recommend them.

      They lied and the custom window is actually to small but they replaced the first installer with another and the process has dragged on The install for services paid for in March started with 2 mo shows then an unsafe install on August 13th that is still ongoing for a single window. This is a nightmare that best case will be almost as good as the old rotting window being replaced They continue to lie and I am demanding a refund they can leave the window or take it and board up the hole but I will start from scratch they allowed the project to go unfinished for so long. This was supposed to take less than 1 day and is still not complete, not safe, not square and not what was promised

      I have had a very bad experience with Window World of Richmond, in Midlothian, VA. I should have checked the BBB before I contracted with them. I contracted to have an existing broken double pane picture window replaced, and the existing wooden frame wrapped with aluminum to prevent deterioration. The company did not disclose to me that they do not replace glass, but only make new windows. When they came out to do the job, instead of replacing my broken glass, they brought a whole new window that was 30% smaller than the original picture window. They installed the new window and frame inside of my existing window frame, leaving a 2" gap on either side of the window. They then told me that I would have to hire someone to re-sheetrock the opening to make up for the fact that their frame was 4" smaller than the original opening. I now have a window that is 1/3 smaller than the original window, and a botched interior that will need to be corrected at my additional expense. Calls to the company have been met with statements such as "this is the kind of work we do", and we do not repair windows or replace glass. None of that was disclosed to me before they accepted the contract and my 50% deposit. The woman who answers the phone at their office is also nasty and refused to even have an estimator or manager come out and look at the mess they made.
