Hardesty Roofing Inc failed to finish re-roofing our home in an ethical fashion.. It took over 2 months of numerous phone calls and e-mails to get a response from Hardesty. The e-mail reply I finally received in reply was full of misinformation, was condescending, and insulting. Hardesty took NO responsibility the actions of their employees and was unwilling to accept little if any consequences for those actions. It was obvious that Hardesty either didn't read my complaint or look at all the pictures I sent. LARGE volumes of re-roofing trash was left in the gutters and all they tried to do in the reply was minimize their failures. The supervisor for the job came by and inspected everything on a Friday and there were 3 or 4 things noted that needed to be repaired. They were finished with the job other than those few items. Two days later on Sunday is when I discovered the gutters full of trash. Heavy rains were expected Sunday evening so I cleaned out the gutters myself to keep all that trash from going into the downspouts. We did in fact get 3 inches of rain over the next 3 days, This wasn't a case of them not cleaning out the gutters. They purposefully tried to hide the fact that the gutters were not cleaned out, and then improperly re-installed my gutter guard. That made the gutter guard unusable if it ever had to be removed again. I removed the gutter guard to clean out the gutters. I don't think the crew should have been relieving themselves in our flower gardens either. After all this, I was told later that 1 or 2 of the workers were terminated due to my complaint. That just confirmed to me they knew they messed up. Hardesty took off $*** for sheet board and $** for new gutter guard but refused any other discount. I would have sued them but an attorney advised me that it was maybe a 50/50 chance of getting anything. Don't trust Hardesty Roofing to be ethical about how they conduct business nor accept responsibility for their actions.
