We asked for a estimate for new carpets upstairs and new vinyl for in the kitchen. We received the quote in August. We agreed to go ahead with the project. The carpets were installed in late August and there were a lot of marks put on our freshly painted walls. We paid a painter $**** to paint the interior of our home. We touched up the marks and thought the crews were sloppy. We waited from August to the second week of November to get the flooring we wanted. When the estimator did his estimate he left the 1/2 bath off. It has the same flooring as the kitchen and dining area. When the workman came over he was very rude and he did not want to do the bathroom and after some discussion he went ahead and did the floors. The next problem to come up was he did not put down new pre-painted shoe molding like what asked for he put back the old shoe molding. Them next problem was after he moaned about the bathroom sink. When the worker left he put toilet paper around the sink piping. We only discovered this after the connection was leaking on the floor he just finished working on. The existing valves were broken, so they called a plumber to install a valve. The worker was very rude to my daughter. When I went to the company to pay my bill they put on extra charges for the sink and toilet removal and shoe molding. We talked to the owner when we started this project about the issues of shoe molding and the bathroom. It is the same flooring as the kitchen. I realize that there may be some adders on projects, but all these issues should have been a part of the quote. When I paid my bill the check I wrote was in the amount on the bill which they gave me. I gave the worker my check and he said that the extra costs needed payment. I did not have another check, so I made up the difference with my debit card. The worker there took the whole bill off my card and did not give the check back to me. I am 73 years old and a Vietnam veteran, I think the practices of this company are devious and underhanded. I would not do any business with this company in the future.
