I had two separate technicians from Pauls. Come out to diagnose an issue with my oil furnace, where it was only blowing cold air. The first technician said it was just a fan switch that got tripped. The second technician that had to come out and charged me a second service call even though the first technician didnt fix the problem told me that it was improperly installed. It was a furnace from the early 90s, and it has so much soot buildup that it had to be completely replaced, and since oil was obsolete that I would have to change over to an electric or propane furnace which would cost $25,000. That didnt sound right, so I did some research and found someone who specializes in oil furnaces. He came out and found that the issue was that the oil filter was too gummed up to allow proper oil flow for it to be heated. He replaced the filter, cleaned it, and did general maintenance and now the furnace is working just fine. He stated that the furnace was actually from **** because he double checked the serial number in two separate spots to confirm that, not from the early 90s, that it was in fact, correctly installed, and that oil was in fact not obsolete, and there is no reason why I should need to replace , my furnace for the next 10 to 20 years. I have called Pauls twice to ask for a refund due to their two technicians improperly diagnosing the problem and not even bothering to check the oil filter. The person answering the phones was fairly rude, and did not even bother to apologize for the poor service, and acted like he didnt wanna be bothered with the issue and sent me to a voicemail for a a supervisor named ***** has refused to call me back both times.
