BBB Announces Businesses with Most Unanswered Complaints in 2016

Better Business Bureau serving Eastern North Carolina names the top businesses with the most unanswered complaints during 2016. BBB closed 7,750 consumer complaints against businesses in eastern North Carolina during 2016. Among those complaints, the following businesses account for over 16 percent of BBB serving Eastern NC’s 862 unanswered complaints:

Blue Cross Blue Shield, an insurance company based in Durham, has 47 unanswered complaints and an “F” rating with BBB. The majority of complaints deal with billing and collection issues as well as customer service issues. Some complainants mentioned not getting the correct refund and having to wait on the phone to talk to a customer service representative for an exorbitant amount of time. 

Affordable Mover, a moving company based in Raleigh, has 10 unanswered complaints and an “F” rating with BBB. Consumers filed complaints regarding delivery and service issues. Some complainants had issues with getting an answer on when their belongings would be picked up or delivered.

Professional Fitness, a fitness center based in Raleigh, has 34 unanswered complaints and an “F” rating with BBB. Complaints deal with contract issues, including consumers having difficulties with cancellations.

EZ Moving and Storage, a moving company based in Raleigh, has nine unanswered complaints and an “F” rating with BBB. The majority of complaints deal with delivery and service issues. Consumers had problems with not receiving their belongings at the promised delivery date or receiving damaged items.

The E.F.T. Group, an exercise fitness program based in Raleigh, has nine unanswered complaints and an “F” rating with BBB. Complaints deal with contract issues, including consumers having difficulty cancelling or not signing a contract at all and still being charged.

Scootworks, Inc., motorcycle part suppliers based in Zebulon, has eight unanswered complaints and an “F” rating with BBB. Most complaints deal with delivery issues, refund issues, and product issues. Some complainants were not receiving the items they ordered or receiving partial orders, while other complainants, who did receive their order, had issues regarding quality and durability of the product.  

A Frame Plus, a home building company based in Knightdale, has six unanswered complaints and an “F” rating with BBB. Complainants dealt with delivery and customer service issues, including paying for work that was never completed.

Traffic Talk, an auto accessories store based in Sanford, has six unanswered complaints and an “F” rating with BBB. The majority of complaints deal with delivery issues, including paying for an order and never receiving a product.

The Tudor Shoppe, a masquerade theater costume store based in Raleigh, has five unanswered complaints and an “F” rating with BBB. The majority of complaints deal with delivery issues, including consumers not receiving the items they ordered or receiving incorrect items. Some consumers that sent back their incorrect orders are not receiving refunds or any response from the company.
