We went to Back Yard Leisure to purchase an 'inground' pool. During the initial visit everything was going good. When they came out to dig the hole for pool and then noticed the side of the pool was 10 inches above ground. We have stuck to this issue throughout the process and no one has done anything about it and continued on. Now the concrete around the pool is an incline, you cannot sit flat in a chair around our pool. J hooks were to be installed for cover and we cannot use cover we ordered. Landscaping lights ran over & broken, Bottom line we have an 'above ground'. It is not flat or level with the ground. Do not buy from them, we have called, and called they came out and looked at it and agreed. The concrete contractor agree the pool was left too high above the ground as well as the sales person. I am not done with this situation

They will not stand behind their product or give customer support. I was sold on the promise of a worry free experience, based on the over engineered quality of the pool. The pool wall slipped track at some point after their installation and was not noticed until I had to change the premium liner after only 4 years. Instead of replacing the liner with a known issue (wall being out of track), I called for customer support, and was told they would get back with me on a solution. In the mean time the entire wall collapsed and I now have a $9000 pool that needs to be completely disassembled and reinstalled. They offered to redo it for $1600 in labor and $1300 for a new wall if It needed it. For a pool that was supposed to be of the highest quality I paid a premium for the trouble free experience and ease of maintenance. It is anything but.

Of course, we pick the worst time to go pool shopping. Between the supply chain issues and having vetted every pool installer's personal preference on pool type, we were off to a painful start. We met with many pool companies for over a month. Companies of all different sizes, and although each was independently unique, the same stipulations applied across the board. The pool installs were at least 12 months out and getting someone to sit down for a consult was around one month out. It was very frustrating. We stumbled across Backyard Leisure and decided to give them a try. Don't judge the company by the area in which their Raleigh office is located, these guys are legit. ***** ****** actually sat down with us on the spot and provided us with the information we were seeking. He answered all of our questions and provided us with much needed insight to help us plan our next move. On top of all that, the anticipated install was less than 12 months out. ***** clearly knew what he was talking about and also helped us realize the best approach to our inground spa. ***** was there throughout the entire process; he was more of a partner than a salesman and still is. They have some real talent working for them, ******* leading installs gained my trust and confidence within an hour of him being onsite during the install, he knows his stuff. At the end of the day, we are more than happy with the product and the team at Backyard Leisure. Cheers!

I bought a very expensive spa in September. I received a call saying it would be delivered to me March 15 between 8am and noon. In December I was told April 15. Late April I was told the truck was filled right before they loaded my spa and it would be on the next truck. Now it is MAY and the manager said it is IN PRODUCTION and will PROBABLY be shipped IN A FEW WEEKS. So I have been lied to multiple times. If I don’t complain, they don’t even update me. Completely dissatisfied. Be very aware.

We were one of the ones that decided to get a hot tub during the first part of the pandemic. After much research of tubs and dealers we ended up at Backyard Leisure! Supplies were limited and there was a wait of a few months but it was well worth it. **** helped us out with all of the details of the tubs they offered and was very transparent about the timeline of delivery throughout the entire process. The tub was delivered and installed and we have enjoyed it way more than I even imagined. We did have an issue with a pump cutting off one evening so we decided to just not try and use the pump again. The next business day we contacted Backyard Leisure and they said they would replace the pump and got it ordered. A short time later their technicians arrived, installed the new pump and we are up and running again!

Customer service was top notch and prices were unbeatable during my search for a pool and also with the install.

Our pool was installed 2 years ago and it has been nothing but issues since. Techs have come out on numerous occasions and done half-a$$ed work. right now, 2 years later, there is a hole in the plumbing sucking air into the pump, 2 foot holes where the plumbing goes into the ground, the salt system does not work, the electrical connections are corroded. This company never calls back and can not stick with their appointments. I have received nothing but a run around with them. Spoke to manager there who states there is no corporate office to talk to anyone else about this. I highly recommend not dealing with this company even if they have the best price at the time. After it is installed and they get their money, I have had nothing but issues.

I purchased a pool last year and after having multiple issues last year I opened it up this year with the same issues. I habe called about 8 times asking to speak with a manager or owner and no one will call me back. I spoke with **** most recently and a manager was supposed to call me the next day it has been 6 days since them. I've been trying for the past 5 weeks to get this issue resolved when I called the 3rd time they said there was a handful of people with the same issue and they qere working to resolve it however nothing has been resolved and no one calls with any updates or knows anything about it and I need to speak with ***** however ***** is never available and never returns calls.
