I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BLUE WATER SPA for anyone seeking CoolSculpting treatment. I received CoolSculpting treatment on October 12, 2023, after having several consultations with their technicians Kandi and Serenity. I am pretty slim, 5'2 and 140 pounds, I wanted to get rid of the little stubborn fat around my abdomen. I was told that CoolSculpting was a very safe procedure, and that I should not be concern about any potential side effects except for numbness and swelling. In December, I noticed that my stomach stilled looked swollen and began to ******. I reached out to ***** and she indicated swelling usually takes 3-6 months to reduce. I had scheduled a follow-up visit in January, in which I shared the same concerns regarding the appearance of my stomach, in which it started to look much bigger than it did before the treatment. On March 6, 2024, I contacted ***** again with the same concerns, and was told that I may need to get another treatment, so I scheduled another treatment for April 3, 2024 with Serenity. I shared my concerns with ********, she stated that she need to consult with the nurse on staff. The nurse examined my abdomen and stated that I developed paradoxical adipose hyperplasia (PAH) that resulted from the CoolSculpting treatment. My stomach is completely disfigured, with an enlarged bulge that is the shape of the CoolSculpting applicators. The nurse indicated the only method to correct it was lipo surgery. I have never had surgery before and I shared my frustration with them, as she appeared dismissive and unconcerned. Blue Water Spa did not offer to reimburse my money, indicating they will have to submit a claim with the CoolSculpting manufacturers and that it could take up to 3 months. I have yet to receive a sincere apology or my money. I have consulted with a lawyer and a surgeon for next steps.
